Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo (also formatted as Nintendo Sound Clock Alarmo[2] and referred to simply as Alarmo)[2] is an interactive alarm clock by Nintendo. It was revealed by Nintendo on its social media on October 9, 2024.[3] It was made available for purchase on the My Nintendo Store on the same day as its announcement exclusively to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers before its release to the general public. Alarmo can also be bought at Nintendo New York at launch while supplies last. It uses motion sensors which can detect movement.

Overview[edit]

Alarmo has five themes based on Nintendo games, with at least two more set to be added in future updates. It has two themes based on games in the Super Mario franchise: one based on Super Mario Odyssey available at release, and one based on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which will be added in an update. Music from the game chosen plays as the alarm, and more intense music will play if the user does not get out of bed after a few minutes. Moving in the bed will play sound effects from the game chosen. When the user has got out of bed after the alarm, a fanfare will play and the alarm music will end. It can also play calm sounds when the user gets in the bed. Alarmo has an hourly chime where many Nintendo characters interact with the time. The user can also use Alarmo to track how long they were in bed for and their movements when they were asleep.

Modes[edit]

Gentle Mode[edit]

Gentle Mode[2] is a mode that keeps the consistency of the intensity of the alarm at a more calm rate.

Steady Mode[edit]

Steady Mode[2] is a mode that makes the alarm more intense the longer the user stays in bed.

Button Mode[edit]

Button Mode[2] is a mode that makes Alarmo function more similarly to a regular alarm clock.
