The Curse of Celero is a curse appearing in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! live-action segment "Mommies Curse." It is listed in The Book of Curses, which lists ingredients needed to make a potion of the curse, including hair from a witch's wart, a dash of powdered toad, and a couple of bat's tongues. Drinking this potion affects the consumer with the curse, turning them into a foaming, mindless zombie.

During the segment, Luigi asks Mario, who is watching the Movie Macabre starring Elvira, to read the instructions from Mama Mario's cookbook. Mario, however, distracted by the show, accidentally picks up The Book of Curses instead, and begins listing ingredients for a potion of the Curse of Celero. Luigi, unaware of being given the wrong recipe, adds the ingredients into a pot and tastes the potion, affecting him with the curse. Mario then calls Elvira, saying that, if anyone can help his brother, she can.

Later, after Mario and Elvira manage to cure Luigi of the curse by reciting "the rain in Spain stays mainly on the plain," Mario mentions that it calls for a celebration. He then unknowningly drinks from the same potion, affecting him with the Curse of Celero.
