Heavy Para-Beetle
Template:Species-infobox Mega Para-Beetles (also called Heavy Para-Beetles) are a sub-species of Para-Beetles that appear in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. They only appear in World 7-6, along with its smaller relatives. They act as platforms for Mario and company. Despite being three times the size of a normal Para-Beetle, the Mega Para-Beetle cannot stand the weight of any character and begin to descend when stepped on, unlike their smaller cousins, who rise. Like normal Para-Beetles, the Mega Para-Beetles can only be defeated by running into it with a Starman. They don't hurt the character while he is standing on its shell, but its exposed head and underside can. Like the other Para-Beetles, if the player jumps on a certain amount, 1-Ups will fall down to the player, or each player depending on the amount of people playing.
Mega Para-Beetles with front views do not appear in the game, but are possibly beta elements.
