Merge?

Is there any real reason why this is split from UFO? I don't see any good reason for it to be split, these are just UFOs in Princess Peach: Showtime, so they could be easily merged into UFO. Kaptain Skurvy 16:08, November 25, 2024 (EST)

Why where these guys split from the UFO page to begin with? These are just UFOs that appear as enemies, and that's something that should be covered on...I don't know...the page about UFOs? Also, UFOs appear as enemies in Mario's Time Machine, yet they aren't split, so why should these?

1. Sorbetti (talk) The biggest difference between these UFOs is that one is alive, while the other is just a ship. Perhaps if the proposal only merged the UFO and not the Large UFO, maybe i'd be in favor, but as it stands, I'm against it. Also i'm surprised the Mario Time Machine UFO isn't even mentioned in the UFO article.
2. Camwoodstock (talk) We realize this might be a bit of splitting hairs, but the UFOs in this article are about some specific enemies that are UFOs, while the UFO page is about generic UFOs. Admittedly, our generic subjects coverage are probably overdue for a rework, as right now it's very confusing, and we can't blame anyone for being confused why these two UFOs are split off; but, with the nightmare that is the incoming Moo Moo to Cow rename once Kart World drops... Yeah, no, we don't think Moo Moo should become a generic cow article, and following suit, these two can remain split.

The state of the page is very bad. It has been under construction for over two years, and the worst thing is its current order, it contains two different subjects on the same page, and even the page recognizes this by having two sections to talk about each one.

If this helps, I have the JP guidebook and added the names of the enemies based on the source.

The "Small UFO" (円盤型UFO) includes green (shoot) and pink (charge) variations, which have specific names.

The gray UFO with arms is a boss in Mighty Mission: Alien Invasion and mid-boss in Mighty Mission: The Rescue.

The "'Large UFO'" is indeed the boss character, while the others mentioned above are members of its species.

One last question, from what I saw in the levels, the gray UFO seems to be more of a character than a species, it even has its own dialogue, do you have any confirmation of this? or is just a species? Sorbetti (talk) 22:46, April 30, 2025 (EDT)
