Talk:Bill Blaster
Fire Bill Blaster[edit]
There are also some Fire Bill Blasters like in this Video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOq8N6QzQiQ (PS:I'm german. Sry, but i can't speak very good english.)
Hello? ^^ --Vanus 06:22, 24 May 2009 (EDT)
- It seems we have no article on those flamethrowers (they are also in New Super Mario Bros.). They'd deserve one, they look the same as Bill Blasters, but act different. --Grandy02 07:15, 24 May 2009 (EDT)
Add Mario Party series[edit]
Should we add a Mario party section on the page cause there is no section on it and I have a sprite of a Bill Blaster?

What the...[edit]
Those Fire Bill Blasters are rocket engines.

Quote[edit]
What has that quote got to do with bill blasters? I think someone should replace it.RPG Gamer. I HAVE RPG!! (talk) 12:18, 29 March 2013 (EDT)
- It is not a quote about bill blasters, but a quote from a bill blaster, which doesn't seem to be very common.

Split Bill Blaster Turret from Bill Blaster[edit]

This talk page proposal has already been settled. Please do not edit this section or its subsections. If you wish to discuss the article, please do so in a new section below the proposal. |
split 6-0
The "Bill Blaster Turret" (as named here) introduced in New Super Mario Bros. is essentially multiple Bill Blasters sharing one mechanism, almost like a "Tower" enemy. It also visible rotates its cannons routinely, which isn't observed in a singular Bill Blaster unit.

Support[edit]
- LinkTheLefty (talk) Per.
- Pseudo-dino (talk) Seems to have a unique name and definitely has unique behavior. It also appears in the same game as regular blasters, and is definitely separate.
- Bazooka Mario (talk) Very reasonable.
- Marshal Dan Troop (talk) Per all.
- Lumastar (talk) Per all. It's different enough from the regular Bill Blaster, and it has multiple appearances to boot.
- TheHelper1000 (talk) Per all.
Oppose[edit]
Comments[edit]
I think it'd be simpler to have a discussion asking if a split would be fine, instead of this big dump of proposals (and two on the same page, at that). I don't think anyone would disagree with you on this, considering the official name, the likeliness to other tower enemies, and so on. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
- Honestly, it's more because I don't want to have a merge stigma for my proposals, and thought "what are some topics I put on the backburner?" (although splits in general seem to have less contention overall). I figured, since these splits stem from the same subject, it'd be more convenient to reach a consensus by the same date and enact any changes at that point, so I went with both this time. Split Blaster from Bill Blaster[edit]

split 4-3
The "Blaster" enemy from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars seems to be a bit different from the usual Bill Blaster. The game treats it as a mobile enemy rather than an immobile one in battle, and no other type of Bill Blaster so far has ever been able to move itself. The graininess in the sprites also creates the impression of treads on the bottom.

- LinkTheLefty (talk) Per.
- PowerKamek (talk) Per LinkTheLefty.
- Binarystep (talk) Per both.
- Marshal Dan Troop (talk) Per LTF.
Oppose[edit]
- Luigiguy13 (talk) In my opinion the "Blaster" enemy looks like a and is a normal bullet bill blaster.
- Pseudo-dino (talk) I really feel like this is Super Mario RPG's interpretation of a regular Bullet Bill shooter. It doesn't really have any unique behavior aside from what you'd expect from an RPG, honestly.
- LudwigVon (talk) Bill Blasters differ in a lots of game. I think it look like this for RPG based game. Per both.
Comments[edit]
Not sure if a split would do based on appearance alone since we do have a Bill Blaster from Super Mario 64 that looks a lot different from this one, but that one doesn't appear to be on the verge of a split. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 20:07, 17 July 2015 (EDT)
What is the points of Bill Blasters having an attack of 2 in Super Paper Mario[edit]
So the Bill Blasters in PM64 and TTYD don't have any attack stats because all they do is shoot Bullet Bills (which do have an attack stat and attack Mario in which case it disappears). But in Super Paper Mario they have an attack of 2? Well the Bullet Bills themselves have the same attack stat as well, but since I saw a video that the character can jump on a Bullet Bill in which cases it jumps rather than standing like in the previous 2D platformers, does that means touching Bill Blasters do 2 damage to you?--ToadMushroom823 (talk) 15:48, November 7, 2024 (EST)
Split Pipe Cannon from Bill Blaster[edit]

split 7-0
Different name in Japanese, different way of acting, since this one is only found in pipes and fires Bullet Biff when exiting them, and most importantly, this page is about a "bill" blaster, it makes no sense to keep a blaster fused that doesn't fire "Bullet Bills".

Split(Support)[edit]
- Sorbetti (talk) Per proposal.
- LinkTheLefty (talk) If it was exactly the same as a normal blaster, that'd be one thing, but they, as the name suggests, pop in and out of pipes. This should've had its own article a while ago.
- FanOfYoshi (talk) Per. It's different
- Hewer (talk) Does this need a proposal?
- Power Flotzo (talk) Per Hewer.
- EvieMaybe (talk) per all. they should bring these back in a newer game someday
- Nelsonic (talk) Per all.

Comments[edit]
Where does the name "Biff Blaster" come from? I got nothing from ctrl+f-ing the article. Hewer (talk · contributions · edit count) 14:20, March 18, 2025 (EDT)
- It was a name so the proposal would be understood, they are called that in Japanese, although here in English they are known as Pipe Cannon, if you like I can change it.Sorbetti (talk) 14:30, March 18, 2025 (EDT)
Pretty sure the name is Pipe Cannon. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 14:53, March 18, 2025 (EDT)
@Sorbetti I don't think you even need a proposal for this specific topic. you can just make a new article. You have been raising a lot of proposals lately, and while your enthusiasm is appreciated, other users are having difficulty understanding what you're trying to say in them - they are not well written, and sometimes have significant typos in them. Further, if these proposals you raised do pass, you would be responsible for writing and rolling out these new articles if they pass, and that puts a burden on the already exhausted queue of unimplemented proposals. I recommend waiting for the current proposals you raised to reach their conclusions before raising new ones. - Nintendo101 (talk) 15:05, March 18, 2025 (EDT)
- @Nintendo101 Yes, I think I got too excited. Now I'll wait until April 1st to continue. However, how can I create an article? I thought that was exclusive to administrators.Sorbetti (talk) 15:12, March 18, 2025 (EDT)
- I actually planned on making this article a while back myself, but we didn't have a sprite of it at the time (we now do). Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 15:14, March 18, 2025 (EDT)
- You just need to be autoconfirmed. Blinker (talk) 15:18, March 18, 2025 (EDT)
If we're not anticipating any objections, maybe we can get this one canceled, too - which would count as voiding the proposal, right? I forgot. Either way, we're going to need an identifier. Should it be Pipe Cannon (obstacle), Pipe Cannon (Bullet Biff), or even Pipe Cannon (Super Mario Land)? LinkTheLefty (talk) 16:23, March 18, 2025 (EDT)
