Playable Chargin'-Chuck?
So apparently in this screenshot, Chargin'-Chuck appears to have the username "Danny" above his head, and usually, characters who have usernames above them means they're playable characters
Now, just to throw that out there, this isn't me saying Chargin'-Chuck is 100% confirmed to be a playable character, but by the looks of this screenshot, it looks like he might (emphasis on "might") be playable. Defefefe (talk) 7:44, June 19, 2024 (EST)
- On the left, Danny's username corresponds to Daisy ... so either they, for some inexplicable reason, are using Daisy's graphics as a placeholder for Chargin' Chuck, there's some sort of optical illusion going on and Daisy actually is hidden behind him somewhere, there's some function in this minigame where you can transform into a Chargin' Chuck, or a secret fourth option. Regardless, definitely too unclear to say anything about it on the page. 73.171.104.211 08:46, June 19, 2024 (EDT)
- That Chargin' Chuck looks kinda big there, possibly TOO BIG to be playable. We should wait before we make any decisions, but Chargin' Chuck IS playable in Mario Kart Tour, so I wouldn't be too shocked considering he already has a voice from there. BiggestMan 15:17, June 19, 2024 (EDT)
- Keep in mind that in Super Mario Party, bigger playable characters (such as Bowser) get scaled down in certain minigames to keep things fair for everyone, such as Gridiron Gauntlet (which funnily enough features Chargin' Chucks), in which a large character would normally be at a disadvantage. The Chargin' Chuck in this Jamboree screenshot actually looks not only bigger than the playable characters, but bigger than Chargin' Chucks normally are as well, so that makes me think this one kinda has to be sn obstacle instead, much like the larger-scaled obstacles in Mario Kart as of MK7. rend (talk) (edits) 21:32, June 29, 2024 (EDT)

Playable Boom Boom and Lakitu???
In the trailer, there was shown a picture, where we could see boom boom and lakitu on the beach. We can't be sure either they are playable or not, but it could be simillar with Pom Pom's case in Super Mario Party's Challenge Road.
— The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tommy Fun Tube (talk).
- There's no indication that they will be playable, so let's not add any speculation to the page. Also, sign your comments using ~~~~ MarioComix (talk) 05:56, June 27, 2024 (EDT)
- It does seem equally speculative to say they are definitively non-playable, especially when we know some characters (i.e., Bowser) will be both. I feel like we need an "unknown" section for Boom Boom, Lakitu, and Chargin' Chuck. 73.171.104.211 09:16, June 28, 2024 (EDT)
- Uh, that's not how it works. We've been given evidence that Bowser has both playable and non-playable roles. We've also been given evidence that these other characters will appear in the game, but as we currently know 21 playable characters, and they have not been seen in a playable capacity, let's just go with the simplest answer first and label them as NPCs. If any evidence comes up that implies they will be playable but it's not clear, then we can add an "Unknown" section. For example, if it's this screenshot but Boom Boom instead of Peach, we can add him into "Unknown" since we don't know if the escorted character actually does anything gameplay-wise. Besides, if that's how it worked, we'd include every character seen in the game as "Unknown" since any of them could be both playable and non-playable. So let's just stick to the simplest explanation first. MarioComix (talk) 01:36, June 29, 2024 (EDT)
- Except we haven't seen them in definitively non-playable roles. Boom Boom and Lakitu maybe "standing on a beach waving" counts as definitely non-playable, but Chargin' Chuck in particular was spotted in a screenshot where a player name is seemingly attached to him (see conversation above). It's not enough to say he's playable, but it sure looks like he could be. That's unknown if I've ever seen it. 73.171.104.211 10:45, June 29, 2024 (EDT)
- We still can't discount the fact that the player name, which is attached to Daisy as seen on the player listing, could just be for Daisy standing behind Chargin' Chuck. I think it's too speculative to presume Chargin' Chuck is playable from that screenshot alone since we also see other enemy characters (Ty-Foos) during the Bowser minigame. Also notice how Chargin' Chuck is facing the other playable characters, while all the playable characters are facing Bowser - it implies Chargin' Chuck will be an obstacle against the players, just like Bowser. Now, if Chargin' Chuck were facing the other way and it was less ambiguous that there could be Daisy standing behind him, it would be more possible to be a power-up form for Daisy in this minigame. But at this point, we'd be adding in our own speculation, that is, there are more than 21 playable characters, so the simplest answer is to rule out Chargin' Chuck until more information implies he's playable. MarioComix (talk) 19:18, June 29, 2024 (EDT)
- Guys, this screenshot shows the name "Sacha" nearby that Ty-foo in the distance! That means Ty-foo HAS to be playable!!1!!1
...Obviously, I'm being sarcastic, but ironically, the name "Sacha" doesn't appear to be linked to another character, thus has one less debunk on its name than the Chargin' Chuck screenshot. Ironically-ironically, however, the same screenshot shows a second Ty-foo as well, so... rend (talk) (edits) 21:24, June 29, 2024 (EDT)- Connecting back to the Chargin' Chuck screenshot, that one shows "Sacha" linked to Yoshi. Though we don't know exactly why the names don't all appear on the list there, but perhaps it's linked to the number next to the bomb icon (like, Yoshi didn't use a cannon yet). Bowsers Kaboom Squad
I cannot edit the page because I am not Autoconfirmed but the "minigame where players fire cannonballs at Giant Bowser" is confirmed to be its own mode called "Bowsers Kaboom Squad" where 8 players fight an impostor Bowser as seen in the store page.
Kevin Afghani
Say, shouldn't we put down that this is the first Mario Party game to have Kevin Afghani as the Mario and Wario Bros? Defefefe (talk) 19:27, September 1, 2024 (EST)

Minigame Names on Japanese website
The Japanese website has official names for multiple minigames, yet all we have are the Minigame names in the demo. Can't someone translate them? I'm pretty sure we're meant to do that. BiggestMan 10:20, September 2, 2024 (EDT)

More minigame titles
I have looked up Super Mario Party Jamboree on IGN and when I was watching the video I saw that more minigame titles are confirmed, For example, the one where you have to jump over the Light-Wave is revealed to be named Light-Wave Battle[1], and the one where you have to avoid the Magmaarghs and Fire Bar is revealed to be named Hot-Hot Hop[2]. Are there any more minigame titles confirmed? Justgetmycatch (talk) 10:16, September 9, 2024 (EDT)
Not every character can be a Jamboree Buddy
So, it's established that in order to recruit a Jamboree Buddy, you need to play a unique Medley Minigame and win it to unlock them.
Looking at the Minigame List from Minigame Bay, which you can screenshot from the Japanese website, it's possible to see all the Medley Minigames, and there's not 22 of them, just 10.
Mario's is a collection of Leaf Leap, Shy Guy Says, and Bumper Balls, which is in the 5th row, 8th column. It's followed, in order, by Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Wario, Waluigi, Yoshi, Rosalina, DK, and Bowser Jr, before 5 spaces with ???s. (These are possibly Boss minigames, or could be 5 more Medley Minigames that have to be unlocked, possibly).
Even being generous and assuming those are all Medley Minigames, that's only 15 possible Jamboree Buddies out of a roster of 22. With that in mind, I think it's prudent that abilities shouldn't be written on the character list in the article, since not every character has one (and presumably most don't).

- Yeah, this is probably correct but I still feel like it should be included there, just put N/A or something in the ability section. BiggestMan 09:34, September 12, 2024 (EDT)
Well, that would actually be a safe bet because I'm pretty sure the boss minigames will be in their own separate category, it would be pretty weird to include them among the 4-player minigames. Sentient freedom (talk) 10:02, October 4, 2024 (EDT)

Boss minigames
So I am pretty sure that Boss minigames might be played at the end of each new board, Looking up at the Free Play screenshot, The boss minigames start with Dragoneel, and then is followed by the following order: Stingby, Rocky Wrench, I don't know and Impostor Bowser, I don't know who the 4th boss is, Maybe it could be possibly Whomp? Green Dueling Glove item
It’s called the “Super Dueling Glove”, and it lets you duel an opponent as long as both players have at least 1 star
YesteryearPioneer, Oct 10, 2024
- I wonder if it's exclusive to a game with Pro Rules, since Pro Rules makes it clear that you can duel for Stars, as if this isn't possible with the default Party Rules. rend (talk) (edits) 16:24, October 10, 2024 (EDT)

Payday Dice with Mario as a Jamboree Buddy
The articles for Payday Double Dice and Payday Triple Dice have not been created yet, but whenever they are, these should be considered for the Trivia section:
- This footage, demonstrates that Mario's Jamboree Buddy ability does contribute to extra coins.
- For Payday Double Dice, the theoretical maximum amount of coins (while the dice are rolled) would be 38 with a [10-10] roll, the 10 coin bonus, and an [8] from Mario.
- For Payday Triple Dice, the theoretical maximum amount of coins (while the dice are rolled) would be 79 with a [7-7-7] roll, the 50 coin bonus, and an [8] from Mario.
Wario's Jamboree Buddy ability activates before the dice are rolled, and other items (such as the Hidden Block Card or the Dueling Glove) are used before the standard dice block is rolled, which separates those options from the dice roll itself.

Guide Toad
This talk page or section has a conflict or question that needs to be answered. Please try to help and resolve the issue by leaving a comment. |
Is it worth giving an article the Yellow Toad that serves as the guide? He has an actual official name, being known as the Guide Toad, as well as bigger purpose than just being a background character or a shopkeeper. Is that worthy enough for an article? Starluxe 17:58, December 26, 2024 (EDT)
- Is that only for the Yellow Toad in Party Rules, or does that name also apply to the Purple Toad in Pro Rules? Or is the "Guide Toad" name for Party Planner Trek? (Also, side note, Yellow Toad doesn't run the shops. Only Red Koopa Troopa and Kamek do that) rend (talk) (edits) 18:39, December 26, 2024 (EST)
The only time he's been called the "Guide Toad" is in the Party Plaza. And also, I didn't say he was a shopkeeper. I said he had a bigger purpose than the shopkeepers, which are just unnamed characters who are a part of a species. This Yellow Toad, unlike other Toads which serve as either background characters or shopkeepers, seems to be as a host/guide character. Taking the player on the Balloon to choose a mode, and also announcing the winners or someone who has reached a star. He also holds a flag in the Party Plaza. (which, coincidentally, the Paper Mario: Color Splash character of the same name also holds a flag.) Starluxe 04:39, December 27, 2024 (EDT)
- And Guide Toad is also the main host of Party-Planner Trek, inviting the player to each board and helping to "hide" the Mini Stars on each board to prevent them from being stolen by the bosses. MarioComix (talk) 20:53, December 27, 2024 (EST)
