Bocci Balls,[1] or balls,[2] are objects in Yoshi's Story. They are named after the sport of bocci, which involves rolling balls around. Wooden Bocci Balls appear in Blargg's Boiler, where they are partially submerged in lava, and Piranha Grove, where they are placed above thorny stalks that will damage the Yoshis if they touch them. The Yoshis use them to traverse the lava or stalks by balancing on them and rolling them forward. Larger, cloth Bocci Balls appear at The Tall Tower, where they are suspended in the air. Here, they do not change position, but they still spin with a Yoshi's movements. Ravens often circle them, which does not affect their spinning or vice-versa.
