WONDER? is a Poplin House found at the end of the Special World in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It is the final Poplin House in the game, and by extension, the final overall area of the game. It is unlocked by collecting all of the 10-flower coins and reaching the top of the flagpole in the game's final level, The Final-Final Test Badge Marathon, and contains a treasure chest holding the Sound Off? badge and awards one of six medals to the player's current save file upon completion. This is the only Poplin house to not feature a Poplin at all.

Upon entering the Poplin House, the player finds a Talking Flower next to the treasure chest cheering for them. A text box pops up afterward reading:

And so, [character]'s party achieved a spectacular feat: clearing all of the Special World courses!
What an astonishing display of skill!
To commemorate this achievement, you've earned the secret badge: the Sound Off? Badge.
Such a wonderful adventure!
THANK YOU FOR PLAYING...
YOU ARE A SUPER WONDER!

The final line is a homage to the phrase "YOU ARE A SUPER PLAYER!", which is featured in the Super Mario World level Funky, where it is formed by coins, and the World 9 Game Over screen in Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (with "YOU ARE" contracted to "YOU'RE").

Upon re-entering the Poplin House, the player finds four Talking Flowers in a row, each of them celebrating the player.

Talking Flower quotes[edit]

  • "Wooooooooo!" (said by the flower upon first entry)
  • "Woo-hoo!" (said by the first flower upon revisit)
  • "You've had quite the journey!" (said by the second flower upon revisit)
  • "You're a wonder!" (said by the third flower upon revisit)
  • "Thank you for playing!" (said by the fourth flower upon revisit)
