Potty Pursuit is the boss microgame in Wario Bug's Anything Goes level, as well as the last microgame and boss microgame overall in WarioWare: Get It Together!

Gameplay[edit]

In the first phase of the microgame, a living toilet appears next to the player and runs off to the right. The player must proceed to chase the toilet into a cave system inside a volcano, which will slowly begin to fill up with toxic gas caused by a volcano with Wario's face soon after entering. Through the cave system, various obstacles block the player's path through thin passageways. When the player reaches the end of the passageways, they reach a tall, wide stretch of the cave with a giant toilet for the floor. The living toilet can be seen standing on the lid. Soon after reaching this, the toilet will open its lid and begin rising up, and the command "Dodge!" appears on-screen. Three waves of obstacles fall from the top and/or bottom of the screen at different times, prompting the player to dodge them. After the three waves of obstacles pass, the command "Capture!" appears on-screen. As more obstacles go by, the living toilet will leap out of the giant one, and the player must hit it without running into any obstacles, causing the giant toilet to clog the Wario volcano, clearing the microgame.

  • Level 1: The obstacles in the thin passageways are nose-shaped boulders that collapse when the player gets close, and the obstacles in the giant toilet section are magma boulders that fall from the top of the screen.
  • Level 2: The obstacles in the thin passageways are nose-shaped boulders that move up and down that collapse slowly when the player is near them, and the obstacles in the giant toilet section are lava blobs that shoot from the bottom of the screen.
  • Level 3: The obstacles in the thin passageways include unmoving nose-shaped boulders that the player must shoot to clear, rotating boulders with small, curved, inward sections where the player can sneak through, and platforms that move up and down. The obstacles in the giant toilet section are the magma boulders from Level 1 and the lava blobs from Level 2 at the same time.

If two players are utilized for this microgame, both players have to survive to win. The player that captures the toilet at the end receives an effort point. The player that gets defeated by any of the hazards loses an effort point. If both players are defeated, no effort points are deducted.

Due to the Anything Goes microgames not requiring the use of a particular character during the first playthrough, this is the only boss microgame in WarioWare: Get It Together! with this trait.

  • Wario and Ashley's flight and respective abilities allow them to reach the large toilet quickly and dodge the obstacles easily due to the combination of their free movement and choice of direction of attack without any interference.
  • 18-Volt is unsuitable due to his lack of mobility, requiring him to grab multiple rings to move through the cave and dodge obstacles. This is the only boss microgame in Get It Together! where he is a bad fit.
  • 9-Volt is unsuitable due to his constant movement, which might cause him to miss a ring and waste time or get hit by an obstacle.
  • Kat & Ana are unsuitable due to their constant jumping, which might cause them to get stuck on something in the cave, thus wasting time.
