Toadette4evur has started another edit war with me on the Toadette page. As I was removing quotes even they agreed on the proposal to be gibberish, they keep adding them just because it's their favorite character. You can check the quotes, they are just as much what the proposal considered gibberish as the baby daisy quotes. Fixitup

- In my opinion those three quotes you have right now are fine. Can we cut back on the claims of people being biased on the history page, though? I'm pretty sure gibberish now means statements that have one word or no dictionary words (ie: "ARG, Mario!") or are shared by everyone: ("I'm the Best!" -all the playable characters in Mario Party 3). I have never played Mario Pinball Land before, so I couldn't expand upon the article without copying a source from somewhere else. This is why I couldn't back up my opposition with editing (if that makes sense :P) Glad to see the article's been fixed up a bit though.

Peach images
Proves that I didn't really read your comments altogether. I didn't think of putting them somewhere else. Stupid me.

- We did actually have a proposal which wanted images to be put into categories, so that a gallery could be visible in them. The proposal itself passed, but the problem is that images that are only seen in the category are marked as unused (and thus turn up in the unused list which sysops go through and regularly delete), so nothing really happened except for some entries in Category:Mushrooms. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 18:22, 16 May 2008 (EDT)

I have posted an explanation on Birdo's talk page. Yes, it may seem repetitive, but when you think about it, the only thing that needs to be resolved with that is rewrite the sentences so that they don't all start with Birdo is or Birdo did. It's actually more proper to refer to someone as their name at most times, but I see what you mean. I will visit the Vivian article as well. Gender controversy happens to be a large issue related to video-games for some reason. ForeverDaisy09

Splitting movie characters
I think it is a good idea splitting movie incarnations of characters, especially Princess Daisy and the likes. I'd support a proposal in that direction. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 16:35, 7 June 2008 (EDT)

- The inclusion or lack of allowed information has always been based on its significance to the overall series (For example, how important is it to the series that Baby Daisy said, "Eeh, he, he, he!" instead of "Ooh, ho, ho, ho!". Not very, so those quotes were removed.) That is why I have reacted so strongly to the proposal to remove information based on one user's personal ideas of canon rather than the importance to the series. As one user pointed out, Nintendo Power called Mario, "Mario Mario", which was a phenomenon that began after the movie -- I can get you a source for it not existing prior. Even though the movie isn't in the same continuity as the video games (there's not way anyone can argue that... I've tried to think of one but I can't), it is still a part of the Mario series' history.
- So, I'm glad that you are willing to look at splitting the pages as a solution. Not only will that clear things up about which facts apply to which continuity, it will keep users from pulling valid, important information off of the Wiki. What I'm thinking is this: we could connect the two articles together with a "Main" template and include a small blurb regarding the differences of video game and movie Mario. This would also cut down on the space issue in the character articles. I'd like to discuss this with you more, but I must get to sleep. Cobold, you and I should discuss both this proposal and the proposal for the MarioWiki:Canonicity page in the coming days. Thanks for your time, both of you. Stumpers! 03:35, 8 June 2008 (EDT)

- I would say that the movie is the only thing we'd want to split out for now. As you know, it's the only incarnation of Mario that is universally recognized as not being continuous with the rest of the series. To do anything more is just asking for lengthy, heated discussion that ultimately achieves nothing at the very least. (I'm glad you recognize that!) I think a history lesson is in order about the Koopalings: they were renamed because back when the Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 entered production, Nintendo of America had yet to give the Koopalings official names. I really don't think a name change would be a good reason for a split. Think of it: Princess Toadstool to Peach. Jumpman to Mario. Donkey Kong to Cranky Kong. Stumpers! 16:48, 8 June 2008 (EDT)

Anyway, I need some help on working on an experimental infobox template called Template:minigame-infobox and I have some font problems and the size as well. See User:RAP/test for how it was used and looks like, and User:RAP/test2 for the coding. I need help on the size of the text, how it looks like visually, and the size of how it looks like. RAP... I actually need this done for all those MP and other mini-game articles to add with this!
Oh that, that was a typo. ^_^; Sorry, anyway, I like it to make it like a professional infobox-template, with the Arial, fix the 1st column size, make the name "Cotnrols" at the middle (his may be a code error), see this link for example. I've been browsing over World of Warcraft Wiki for quite a while, the info-box template looks very clean and simplistic. ^_^ Or like Wikipedia's infobox templates as well. The wiki feels limited with the ADs at the right, that results a limit to our editing, like the AD sightings. :( RAP... Hmmph, wiki wants an upgrade. With all the templates and interface... rawr...
Hey Stumpers! Check in User:RAP/test, I just had written a seperate example of the experimental info-box template. Try to ignore the AD, or look it in edit form, ^_^ All I need is to convert it into a real useable infobox template just like the other ones! :) BTW, I came up another info-box template idea once more, :D I'll tell the details later... RAP... The RAPstar's got his charm over those infoboxes!! My new doing.
RE:Citations
The template used on the Transformers wiki is called "storylink". I would be definitely in favor of bringing it here, since it could be useful to cut down boring summaries (Ex: Instead of saying "In the episode of adventure of SUper blablabla", you could write a direct summaries and then slap the template at the end. It would also be useful in putting multiple events from the same games (Ex: "Dupree was later seen tuned into a pig in the Twilight Town shop (Chapter 4:For Pigs the Bell Tolls")). I don't think the template should replace headers separated by game, it should only only be used for D.i.C cartoon Episodes and multiples events from the same game. --Blitzwing 18:38, 21 July 2008 (EDT)

Hiya. I was trying to move the article World of Trophies to This World, but I can't, since there is a redirect on This World. The redirect on This World must be removed before I can move the article. The reason I'm moving it, is because it was actually called "This World" on the Dojo, and I don't recall seeing it being called anything else. - Thanks for moving it to this world. But... I don't know if it's "this world" or "This World". The text written here says "In this world, trophies fight." But at the same moment, the header for the entry says "This World...". It may have been because they had to capitalize it because it was a header, but I still think it's signifying that it's the actual name of the place. Handeling the 'other series' merging.
Hi Stumpers! Because the Garlic Man's proposal will be gone soon (or it might even be gone now, actually), we need a new place to discuss this before you make another proposal about it. It's already clear that we're going to be merging the minor articles, and not deleting them. I just think everyone needs to clear up what exactly should be affected by the merge first, though. Everyone seems fine with the playable 3rd party/SSB characters keeping their articles, but small cameos and stage elements should merge into the 'series pages'. I also think that everyone fine with merging the Items into the series pages, too. However I think we should get rid of the 'List of Trophies in SSBB' page and merge each trophy into their proper series page. Also, when do you plan on making the proposal? -Moonshine
