Painguin Tucks are enemies appearing in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and its Nintendo Switch port. Their name is a portmanteau of "pain" and "penguin." They are penguin-like members of the Snowmads who wear green trousers and brown belts with the Snowmad insignia, and they each carry a dead fish on a stick for their weapon. They have a bulkier counterpart known as Papa Painguins.
Painguin Tucks walk at a slow pace until they see the Kongs, at which point they charge toward them. The Kongs take damage if they come into contact with their weapon. However, these enemies can be defeated with a jump or a Roll Attack into their bare backs. They can also be stunned with a Ground Pound if the Kongs are close enough.
Two Painguin Tucks also appear on the Game Over screen, guarding the ice cube.
