“Sheesh. How did all these harmless origami-making tools end up with such tacky personalities?”
Olivia, Paper Mario: The Origami King

The Legion of Stationery is a group of giant sentient office tools allied with King Olly in Paper Mario: The Origami King. They are the game's main bosses aside from King Olly himself, with five of them guarding the ends of the streamers wrapped around Peach's Castle while the sixth, Stapler, serves as Olly's personal guard. They were originally inanimate tools belonging to the Origami Craftsman before King Olly took them, enlarged them, and made them sentient. They are visually similar to the Things in Paper Mario: Sticker Star and Paper Mario: Color Splash, being large, realistic-looking, three-dimensional objects.

After Mario defeats a member of the Legion of Stationery, its Collectible Treasure form will be available for purchase from a Rocky Wrench at a pier behind a red warehouse in Toad Town. Each member will also become available for a timed refight using a Bossotronic Fighter in the town's Battle Lab.

Most of the members of the Legion of Stationery include a color in their design that matches the color of the streamer they are guarding: the lid of Colored Pencils' tin case is red, Rubber Band wears a few blue rubber bands across its body, Hole Punch has a yellow lever, Tape's dispenser is purple, and Scissors has green handles. Stapler is the only member that does not guard a streamer, so it is colored entirely black, the same color as the border for Origami Castle that appears when checking the map and the warp pipe in Musée Champignon leading to it.

In the series of images that appear throughout the game's credits, the penultimate one shows all members of the Legion of Stationery in the Origami Craftsman's workshop in their original, inanimate, regular-sized forms.
