KO Arena Pipe-Rock Rumble is a KO Arena level in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It is found in Pipe-Rock Plateau, in the underground area, which can only be accessed by completing Wiggler Race Mountaineering!. This level has the player fighting off against several Goombas, Trottin' Piranha Plants and Bulrushes throughout the level. This level has one Wonder Seed, and depending on how quickly the player clears the level, they can be rewarded with 10-flower coins.

Layout[edit]

The player starts in an area where they can choose power-ups, although only the Fire Flower or Elephant Fruit are available, as the other pipes are corked up. The items are endless, so the player can take as many as they need. A pipe above the center leads to the first battle area.

The first battle area has fifteen Goombas on the ground and on higher platforms. Some of them are walking while some are sleeping. There are also beeswax blocks that can be destroyed. After all of the Goombas are defeated, the gate to the pipe leading to the second battle area will unlock.

The second battle area has eight Trottin' Piranha Plants that emerge from pipes on the ceiling, walk around across Marimba Blocks and finally enter two ground pipes that take them back to the ceiling pipes. Not all eight are on the screen at once; new Trottin' Piranha Plants will appear if others are defeated. Two pipes on the bottom left and bottom right sides of the room spawn purple snail shells that can be used to defeat the Trottin' Piranha Plants. The Marimba Blocks can also be used, as well as power-ups. After all eight Trottin' Piranha Plants are defeated, the gate to the pipe leading to the third battle area will open.

The third battle area has five Bulrushes across many semisolid tree canopies. The Bulrushes can be tricked to fall into the pit to defeat them easily. After all five Bulrushes are defeated, the gate to the pipe leading to the goal will open.

The goal has five Talking Flowers that congratulate the player for clearing the challenge. If the player clears the battles quick enough, they can be rewarded with 10-flower coins from the above pipes. There is a treasure chest on the right of the room, which when opened spawns the Wonder Seed and the stage is cleared.

10-flower coin requirements[edit]

  • 10-flower coin 1: 180 seconds
  • 10-flower coin 2: 120 seconds
  • 10-flower coin 3: 70 seconds

Enemies[edit]

Talking Flower quotes[edit]
