Titles
Hello, unless you knew already but forgot at points, remember to italicise any game titles you name yourself, since a few of your edits were missing them. Mario JC 06:29, August 7, 2021 (EDT)
I just recently learned about them when editing some articles, so I sometimes forget to add them. I'll remember adding them next time.WildWario (talk) 06:35, August 7, 2021 (EDT)
New stub articles
One or more pages that you have recently created have been deleted or marked as a stub article (Balmy Dunes). Please consider the following ideas and suggestions when expanding/creating an article:
|
Two more things:
- Please don't create a new stub article and mark it with {{construction}}, either to finish it yourself later or for others to finish it for you. New articles should start with sufficient information off the bat.
- Remember to add navigation templates and categories at the bottom of the article; they're the text that looks like this:
{{Mario Golf Course List}} {{MGSR}} [[Category:Deserts]] [[Category:Mario Golf: Super Rush Courses]]
- (If you're not sure which templates and categories to include, look at other, similar articles.)

RE: YCW Fly Guy situation
If an enemy's appeared in too many levels to count, there's really no need to list them. Just saying "Many levels" is fine. Mario JC 06:38, August 12, 2021 (EDT)
Media files
Thanks for those uploads. It's recommended on Help:Media that a fade-out is applied at the end, so if possible, could you do that for future uploads?
Also, please remember to italicise titles (even in image captions), you're still forgetting them in some of your edits. Mario JC 23:08, August 12, 2021 (EDT)
Okay, but do you have any recommended softwares or websites that can create fade-outs? WildWario (talk) 23:36,August 12, 2021 (EDT)
- Audacity is a good one; you just highlight the part of the clip (preferably about the last 2 seconds), then Effect -> Fade Out. Mario JC 00:00, August 13, 2021 (EDT)
RE: Luigi (Painter)
Yes, Luigi (Painter)'s outfit specifically first appeared in Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, but is based on Mario's painter outfit from Super Mario Odyssey, which in turn is based on Mario's painter outfit from the Mario Artist series, so it should at least be mentioned that Luigi (Painter)'s outfit is based on Mario's painter outfit from those games. LuigiMaster123 00:40, August 21, 2021 (EDT)
RE: Return of the Vandals
They're not the same, it's because of a popular Internet meme from The Simpsons called "Sneed's Feed & Seed (Formerly Chuck's)". Mario JC 06:04, August 30, 2021 (EDT)
RE: Underwater
I'm not sure what such a page would include to be useful. If it's the layout of all of the underwater sections, they're already covered on their respective course articles. It'd be too small as just a list of courses with underwater segments when it's better to just mark which courses have them on the main game pages. Mario JC 08:42, August 31, 2021 (EDT)
Jack Waitzkin
MarioWiki:Warning policy#Registered users, rule 2, 4th bullet point - They're already on a last warning, so a reminder was unnecessary. Even if they didn't receive a last warning, since they were already reminded about this issue before, the next step would be a warning. Mario JC 21:59, September 7, 2021 (EDT)
RE: Map Exploring
Please be patient, not everyone has the time to answer right away. I don't see why we need to note what's under the course; a lot of games have empty space when going out of bounds because players wouldn't see what's outside of the world when playing normally.
I would say it's an underwater section if the propeller appears on the kart. Mario JC 08:52, September 13, 2021 (EDT)
Moving files
After moving a file, make sure any articles that still use the old file name are changed to the new file name, then the old file name should be marked for deletion with {{delete}} since we don't want file redirects. You can find which articles still link it in the "What links here" link under "tools" on the left navigation bar. Mario JC 21:38, September 14, 2021 (EDT)
RE: User sub-pages
No, subpages that don't serve the wiki should be kept on your main userpage. Mario JC 23:39, September 14, 2021 (EDT)
- It looks to me like they're keeping track of content from MKT and not created purely for recreational purposes, so I guess they're fine. Mario JC 00:48, September 15, 2021 (EDT)
Series
When you're starting new sections for series, since "series" is not part of the title, it shouldn't be italicised, so it should be formatted as:
===''Mario Party'' series===
not
===''Mario Party series''===

RE: Pipe Plaza
You most certainly can write New Articles! Simply write the first edition of your section, follow the instructions in the read box on this page, and send your application in to our statistics manager. We'll be looking forward to receiving your application! Hooded Pitohui (talk) 12:07, September 19, 2021 (EDT)
You aren't bothering anyone. On the contrary, I appreciate the honesty. Sending it via Google Docs is quite fine. Please send the document to mwshroom@gmail.com We'll take it as an application from there. Hooded Pitohui (talk) 12:12, September 20, 2021 (EDT)
RE:Cars and Trains
I would definitely count the Sydney Sprint trains—alongside the characters sitting in it—as course elements, since they help relay various things on the track that affect the drivers’ racing. I wouldn’t perceive the Berlin Byways cars in the same way, however, since they are generic objects whose only function (so far) is to prop up ramps for drivers to drive off of, while standing perfectly still. Though, they would warrant a mention on the Car (obstacle) page should they display striking similarities with cars that acted as obstacles in previous Mario Kart games, i.e. if they share the same model and such. -- KOOPA CON CARNE 20:19, September 20, 2021 (EDT)
- No problem! -- KOOPA CON CARNE 20:56, September 20, 2021 (EDT)
- I seem to have misremembered how cars actually work in MKT. For some reason, I had this impression that they were holding up ramps, when in reality, they are the ramps. With a real gameplay functionality, and a precedent of similarly-looking cars appearing as Mario Kart obstacles, I think it’s only fair to treat them as much of a course element as magic carpets or Thwomps are. -- KOOPA CON CARNE 21:13, September 20, 2021 (EDT)
Mario Kart Tour Twitter Images
The images that are posted on the Mario Kart Tour Twitter are in jpg format and should not be converted to png because it goes against the image use policy, which states that images should be uploaded to the wiki in the format that they were found. In addition, the images should be uploaded in the size that they appear in when clicking on the image in one of the posts, (this one, for example, which is usually 2,400 × 1,350 pixels), instead of the smaller thumbnail size. I replaced the ones you uploaded already, but please keep this in mind for any future Twitter uploads. LuigiMaster123 14:32, September 21, 2021 (EDT)
RE: WarioWare Twisted microgame
I've already added my thoughts on the talk page and yeah, I think it is since it's the same gameplay concept, just with extra microgames. Mario JC 23:54, September 21, 2021 (EDT)
RE: Mii
I don't have the game either, but I don't think they're playable outside of story mode.
There's a lot on my userpage that's often outdated; it's not a priority to keep it up to date but I do when I have time and feel like it. Mario JC 02:23, September 24, 2021 (EDT)
MPS board images
Where did you get those board images from Mario Party Superstars? You didn't provide a source for them. 18:31, September 26, 2021 (EDT)
RE: messages
I put that large bolded text at the top of my page for a reason. I don't care for RE: messages and I'd prefer it if you (and other people) didn't send me them. I'd rather you reply to me on your own talk page instead. When users keep replying back and forth on each other's talk pages like that, it fragments discussions. 20:25, September 26, 2021 (EDT)
Oh, OK. I'll remember that. WildWario (talk) 20:31, September 26, 2021 (EDT)

Proposal deadlines and extensions
See proposal rule 3 - proposal deadlines occur at the end of the day (according to GMT), not the beginning. Also, per rule 10, the three-vote margin for two-option proposals only applies when there are more than ten votes. Your proposal only has seven, so if it remains as-is it will not be extended. 00:34, October 3, 2021 (EDT)
Ok, but when it ends, what should I do? WildWario (talk) 02:35, October 3, 2021 (EDT)
- When a proposal ends, here's what you do:
- Call the proposal. Replace {{TPP}} with {{Settled TPP}} And add Template:Proposal outcome beneath it. The template page will tell you how to use it. (Example)
- Archive the proposal. List it on the talk page proposal archive (linked on the proposals page) using Template:TPP archive. Again, the template's page will tell you how to use it. (Example)
- If the proposal fails, you're done. If the proposal passes, then either make the proposed changes or add it to the unimplemented proposals list (just copy and paste the markup from the TPP Archive, replace the number with "NA", remove the color, and add the year) until they are. (Example)
RE: Pipe Plaza (Cont.)
I'm glad to hear that work on New Articles is going well! And, yes, you may also send in an application for your Fun Stuff section (it sounds like a cool idea) at the same time. We'll process both applications together. Good luck, and do let me know if you need any help! Hooded Pitohui (talk) 17:17, October 3, 2021 (EDT)
Ah, I'm very sorry to hear about the computer issue you encountered. Perhaps in a future month things will work out better? Also, I deeply apologize that I did not see your application come in. I did not receive a notification that an email had been received, but I should have been more diligent in checking. I will send your application along to the staff right now to correct this, and will ensure the review process is expedited so it makes it into issue 175. It looks like a well-crafted section, and I'm excited to see it in Fun Stuff! You will hear back from us on Friday. Hooded Pitohui (talk) 13:13, October 9, 2021 (EDT)
- Hello, WildWario! I'm here to tell you that your application has been accepted and will appear in issue 175 of the paper when it releases tomorrow. For future sections, your Team Director, Roserade, will be in contact with you! Hooded Pitohui (talk) 14:04, October 15, 2021 (EDT)
RE: Scripulous Fingore
It was generally agreed here and on Discord that it's not worth keeping on the "List of rumors" page (the uploader themself even removed the info), so there's no use for them. Mario JC 05:31, October 12, 2021 (EDT)
RE: Minor Error
It has been edited! If you notice any other issues, let us know, and we'll take care of it. Hooded Pitohui (talk) 09:37, October 17, 2021 (EDT)
RE: Talk:Toad
Yeah, that would be a good idea. There are some TPPs present, so their links on MarioWiki:Proposals/TPP archive should then be changed accordingly. Mario JC 08:08, October 20, 2021 (EDT)

RE: New Section
Thank you for letting me know! Musical Quiz will be passed along to Roserade promptly. As for your other idea, that is more than okay! It sounds great, actually! It sounds to me like it would be similar to our old Cooking Guide section that we've had in Fake News, so that's most likely where it will end up. It would be a great fit, a little section of cooking tips like you might see in a newspaper, and we've had many takes on Cooking Guide over the years, so there's plenty of flexibility. Hooded Pitohui (talk) 22:48, October 25, 2021 (EDT)

Yeah, that's fine. Mario JC 22:19, October 26, 2021 (EDT)
Your sig
Hey, I just wanted to let you know that your sig font doesn't really contrast well against the default white wiki background, making your username difficult to read. I'd suggest you change your color to "gold", which also fits Wario more too. Ray Trace(T|C) 15:19, October 30, 2021 (EDT)

Liner notes from the Mario Kart 8 soundtrack CD
Hi, You have might notice that i'm back again to give you some of the liner notes for some of the tracks from the Mario Kart 8 soundtrack CD that i found interesting.
Mario Kart Stadium: The idea for this track was to make it sound like the type of music used at an opening ceremony. It's worth playing special attention to the bassline. As I'm sure you'll notice, we based this track on the Mario Circuit music in the Flower Cup.
Sunshine Airport: This was the first track on Mario Kart 8 I was responsible for, and I had a great time working on it. The combination of the gorgeous graphics and the sheer silliness of racing around an airport made it really exciting. I was aiming to create music with a fresh, airy feel, to give you a taste of southern seas and tropical sky.
Wii Moo Moo Meadows: The original track just featured a live recording of a recorder, but for this title, we reworked that part, adding violin and guitar. The musicians arranged this themselves, which gave a really nice live feel to the proceedings. We hope this track will bring back memories of the faces of those lovable cows!
3DS Neo Bowser City (3DS Koopa City on the European release of this soundtrack): This is a remastered version of the music from the Nintendo 3DS title. It began life as an arrangement of the music for a circuit course on Mario Kart 7. Then while we were working on it, for some reason, we decided to add a particular phrase, and all agreed that it worked pretty well.
MarioKartFan4863927 13:06, November 8, 2021 (GMT)
- Can you upload a picture or something similar to show it? Also, is it confirmed to be official? If it is, this will be added to their respective articles, likely in a Profiles section. WildWario (talk) 08:11, November 8, 2021 (EST)
I'll let you do it. MarioKartFan4863927 13:24, November 8, 2021 (GMT)
Donkey Kong Country Trilogy CD box set page
Hi, thanks for adding the Mario Kart 8 soundtrack liner notes but there's something else i need to tell you. It's about the Donkey Kong Country Trilogy CD box set page is with the track list because it comes with DK Jamz, Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest Original Soundtrack and Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! Original Soundtrack which the track lists are the same as those soundtrack releases and the trivia on the page are associated with DK Jamz and Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! Original Soundtrack. MarioKartFan4863927 14:55, November 8, 2021 (GMT)
- I'm not sure what you want me to do, but I added some stuff on the Donkey Kong Country Trilogy page. WildWario (talk) 20:09, November 8, 2021 (EST)
Bowser Minigames evidence
Hey Wildwario here is the evidence that these minigames are Bowser minigames and therefore why I made the edits I did.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1IT08TN9qU
All three minigames are shown off as Bowser minigames in this video, they also do not appear as end of turn 4 player minigames in party mode. NSY (talk)
Ok, I'll alter it a bit, but I think it should not be categorized as such, as for example, Face Lift is categorized as a Free-For-All minigame in-game. WildWario (talk) 05:53, November 9, 2021 (EST)
- I think that would be likely have to be a subject would have be settled via a proposal if you disagree, I agree it’s not fully clear in-game how it’s categorised they are listed as Bowser minigames in party mode (and treated differently to other 4 player minigames) and free-for-all minigames in minigame mode. I personally think they should be categorised as bowser minigames because it is treated as such but if you disagree then it be put to vote via the community. NSY (talk)
GBA Bowser Castle music in MK7
Hi, I was wondering if you put in something about the GBA Bowser Castle music in MK7 on the GBA Bowser Castle 1 page. MarioKartFan4863927 12:44, November 14, 2021 (GMT)
- I don't think its required, as from the infobox, users can probably already learn that Mario Kart 7's version of the theme is different. Plus, the change is pretty minor, being some quality changes and the weird lava effect.WildWario (talk) 07:49, November 14, 2021 (EST)
RE: Signature Course
I haven't been playing the game enough since I usually just log in to add the rewards table, but I'd assume it's the course featured prominently in the tour (the trailer, the tour image, the menu background, the tour's first course (usually) etc.) Mario JC 08:25, November 21, 2021 (EST)
- Space Tour would be 3DS Rainbow Road since it ticks all four boxes (and uses its music in its trailer), which its page describes as the "featured course" which... actually, is a far better label than "signature course". I'd say the same for the others mentioned (even though Toad vs. Toadette doesn't have a tour image). Mario JC 06:58, November 22, 2021 (EST)
Faster edit reversion
Hello, I thought I'd give you a little tip. If you want to revert multiple edits on a page at once, you can go on the page history and submit an edit the latest revision before the first edit in the line, although you don't need to make any actual changes in the revision. Nightwicked Bowser 20:25, November 23, 2021 (EST)
Okay, thanks for the tip! I've thought of using it before, but I was worried about reverting wrong edits by accident. WildWario (talk) 20:28, November 23, 2021 (EST)

Only one R/T track for certain tours (excluding Berlin Byways 2)

Metal Mario
I was going to let you know that I was planning to add events and whatnot that feature Metal Mario, kind of like how our current featured articles Banzai Bill and Skewer are comprehensive in what levels they appear in. I was planning on adding more sorts of events featuring Metal Mario as an opponent, but I just saw the giant VS ones as especially prominent so I included them. The reason the giant ones are seemingly the only ones present is that, well, I haven't played Mario Kart Tour, and navigating pages for information pertaining to what I wanted to add was difficult enough; there's a LOT of subpages for Mario Kart Tour. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 01:18, January 20, 2022 (EST)
It's okay. Appearances in bonus challenges are not really noteworthy, and it's somewhat tedious to update a character's page whenever they get a new bonus challenge appearance (usually 2 to 4 every tour), and it often becomes very outdated and really long (especially for characters like Mario). The information can become really repetitive too. Of course, this is just my opinion, so if you feel like they're important enough, you can add them. WildWario (talk) 01:29, January 20, 2022 (EST)
Re: Shell Patch
Hello yello. That might be tricky as the Shell Patch for whatever reason does not appear in the Scrapbook Theater in the original game, though is added in the remake. I have looked for YouTube videos I would normally screenshot, though almost all of them simply show the enemies from the original game, and the only one I could find that showcases the ones from the remake is not in English. I could upload that one for now and it could be replaced later on if you'd like, or I could continue looking for one in English. Your call. Green Star 20:51, January 29, 2022 (EST)
RE: Pumpjack
As far as I know, there is no way to hit them as they are pretty much just moving walls, but according to dataminers of the game, they are literally called "Pumpjack" in the files of the game. Here's a source. It's a Discord link and I don't know if you have a Discord account so let me know if it doesn't work. LuigiMaster123 02:03, February 12, 2022 (EST)

I understood a video that you didn't
I just saw on the "Classic course" page that someone tried to verify the confirmation of the Vanilla Lake courses and Dino Dino Jungle in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass with this video. You undid the edit, probably because the link was red on the page and you thought it was spam or something. I have it fixed here now, and if you watch it, you'll notice that there's a clue hidden in it. Gold Luigi (talk) 05:34, February 21, 2022 (EST)
