The Hoppycat Trial: Hop, Hop, and Awaaay is a level in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It is found in the third world of the game, Shining Falls. As its name suggests, this level prominently features Hoppycats. It is available after clearing Master Poplin's House, and completion of this level unlocks Break Time! Unreachable Treasure? This course contains two Wonder Seeds, and the difficulty of this level is three stars.
Layout
Throughout the level, Hoppycats appear by jumping from the bottom and top of the screen when the player jumps near them. Jumping again will make the Hoppycats jump again and possibly land on a higher platform. A beanstalk contained in a hidden block leads to a bonus area. After the checkpoint, there are three sets of lifts with Hoppycats on them, and then a section where the player must go upward to reach the pipe that leads to the end of the level.
Wonder Flower
Just before the upward section, a long ? Block above a single lift holds the Wonder Flower. It can be released by making a Hollycat jump on the lift then jump again to hit the block. Touching the Wonder Flower will make Giant Hoppycats appear. Then, the player must make the giant Hoppycats jump up the upward section and destroy terrain on their way until the Wonder Seed can be reached.
10-flower coins
- 10-flower coin 1: It is below four Brick Blocks that can be destroyed by Hoppycats if the player jumps twice. Jumping a third time will make the Hoppycats jump to a higher platform so that the 10-flower coin can be collected safely.
- 10-flower coin 2: It is in on a lift going downwards. If it goes off-screen, it will reappear on a higher lift some time later.
- 10-flower coin 3: It is at the bottom right of the upward section.
