Episode 1 Prologue is the twelfth course of the Bonus Episode in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and its Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS ports of the same name. It is unlocked after all Super Gems are collected and all bonus objectives are cleared in Episode 1.
This course reappears in the Nintendo Switch version's VR mode under the name "The Treasure at Mushroom Ruins". The course's layout and music are identical, the only differences being the absence of Toadette, the addition of three Super Gems, and no cutscene following completion of the course.
Layout[edit]
The level is a remake of the Episode 1 prologue, hence its name. In the dark alcove near a Mushroom-shaped statue, there is a hidden Gold Mushroom that Captain Toad can collect.
Super Gems[edit]
These Super Gems appear in the course "The Treasure at Mushroom Ruins" exclusively when playing in VR mode.
- Super Gem 1: Resting atop the partially buried stone slab near the archway.
- Super Gem 2: Hanging over the farthest ledge of the structure. It can be collected by dropping down.
- Super Gem 3: On top of the pillar near Captain Toad's starting position.
