List of fonts
My edit was constructive. I edited the lead from "Super Mario" to "Mario" because fonts are used for games and related media within Mario franchise, not just Super Mario franchise. 36.85.216.131 10:00, June 28, 2023 (EDT)

How Do I Contribute?
I want to help the wiki somehow, but how? What articles are in need of creation?

On Nintendo's terrible archival policy (or rather lack thereof)
Good evening, thought I'd ask for your opinion on this. Nintendo does not keep archives of their online content, very often removes even news articles (example: [1]). The only possible conclusion I could draw from it is these articles need to be covered on this wiki, at least the ones Nintendo already removed. They unfortunately can be rather lengthy. What do you think would be an appropriate way to cover them? Axis (talk) 11:06, July 13, 2023 (EDT)
- My issue with your solution is that no internet archive can be fully trusted. Nintendo can do the classic Nintendo moment and request archive.org to exclude all *.nintendo.com URLs from the archives, as they've already done with NoE. archive.org could shut down, other archive websites can also shut down. The cost of running archive.org is beyond my imagination. I'll try to cover the articles anyway in a sandbox to see if it'll cause problems. The articles aren't typically bigger than the ones already covered on Wario's Warehouse page. Axis (talk) 11:45, July 14, 2023 (EDT)
- The thing is that these Play Nintendo articles are more than likely copyrighted, and so I don't think there is a whole lot you can do to document them: since the very purpose they're offering this content is for others to peruse it, copy-pasting or taking screenshots of it wholesale is technically not protected by US Fair Use law as it's not transformative and it could theoretically steal traffic from the original source. At least with Play Nintendo quizzes and other activities documented here, they have some degree of interactivity on Nintendo's site that this wiki doesn't offer. -- KOOPA CON CARNE 12:09, July 14, 2023 (EDT)
EDIT: We should also reconsider hosting Wario's Warehouse material (assuming it's 100% real), considering Nintendo has gone apeshit in the past {gamerant.com) over fans publicly releasing material that isn't even sold any more. -- KOOPA CON CARNE 12:23, July 14, 2023 (EDT)- They don't seem to care much about something that was meant to be released to the public for free. I don't remember any precedent like this. This is also part of the reason why I suggest doing it for the articles Nintendo already removed, and not those they have available as of now. Renaming SuperBowser64
Hello, I was wondering if the user SuperBowser64's username could be changed so I could take up their username. They haven't been active for over 11 years and only ever made 3 edits, all of them being reverted shortly after. I use SuperBowser64 as my username on both ZeldaWiki and Nookipedia, and had to use MegaBowser64 here as a compromise. I never considered the holder of this username though, and after viewing their contributions, I don't think it would be unreasonable if their username could be changed to something similar so I could use it to keep the same username across NIWA wikis. Thank you, BOWSER... (talk) 20:31, July 16, 2023 (EDT)
The Super Mario Bros. Movie Soundtrack
I think you should consider taking another look at including the "Title Theme" from New Super Mario Bros. Wii as a reference in The Super Mario Bros. Movie (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) for "Welcome to the Mushroom Kingdom" from 1:23 to 1:24. Yes, the reference is only three notes, but in the original NSMBW theme, those notes are very distinct and an integral motif throughout (it can first be heard at 0:03 in the original theme for reference). Further, those notes in "Welcome to the Mushroom Kingdom" are in the same key as the NSMBW original, and the Paah and P-Switch theme from the New Super Mario Bros. series can be heard just a few seconds later, which I think further points towards the notes being a reference to NSMBW ToxicOJ (talk) 01:01, July 19, 2023 (EDT)

Mario Party 8
Apparently, MC Ballyhoo says these quotes: "You're no sucker! Smart players don't rely on luck! They change their fate with Candy! Eat Candy before you hit your Dice Block to trigger one of many effects!" and "You'll also get Candy by finding it around the board. You never know what you'll get, but it's free!" Could you please verify if these quotes are correct and if any of the words are colored differently? Dwhitney (talk) 11:14, July 23, 2023 (EDT)
Wow!
Can you make Template:Amps (Amp, Big Amp, Bowser Stunner, Spark, Lil Sparky, and Hothead), Template:Warp Pipes, Template:Coin Rings, Template:Urchins, Template:Bees, Template:Penguins, Template:Birdos, Template:Obstacles, and Template:Blarggs? So yes! Trinitron Tube (talk) 3:41, July 26, 2023 (EDT)
Typo in Protected page
Mario jc, I noticed a typo in Help:Link, however no one has fixed the typo. Can you please fix it? Toad 04:13, July 29, 2023 (EDT)
Vandals
I feel like the vandals below should be blocked for ban evasion if they haven't been so already (and if they have, change the ban reason to that), since I'm 99% sure it's the same person behind those edits. In addition, I want you to hide the edits that they made, since I don't want anyone clicking on that link and getting rickrolled or something.
