The mysterious pipe[1] is a special Warp Pipe found in The Super Mario Bros. Movie that transports Mario and Luigi to the Mushroom Kingdom and the Darklands respectively. The pipe is located underground in Brooklyn in the utility tunnel, where the brothers end up in after breaking through a brick wall in the sewers. Unlike regular Warp Pipes, the mysterious pipe sucks up things into it and trasports them through the Warp Zone[2] "into a magical new world." While in the Warp Zone, the brothers get transported through a transparent tunnel, but get separated and sent into two different kingdoms. Also unlike regular Warp Pipes, the mysterious pipe flashes when things come in or out of it.

At the end of the movie during the Banzai Bill chasing scene, Mario tricks it into flying inside the mysterious pipe. The Banzai Bill shrinks and blows up while inside the Warp Zone. This causes a shockwave at first, which damages Mario, but then starts to suck everything into it, including the characters and Bowser's ship.
