This article is about Land of Flying Blocks, a level in New Super Mario Bros. U. For other uses, see Meringue Clouds-1.

Template:Levelbox Land of Flying Blocks, or Meringue Clouds-1, is the first course of Meringue Clouds in New Super Mario Bros. U. It is unlocked via completion of Flight of the Para-Beetles or Roy's Conveyor Castle and its own completion unlocks a red Toad House, Seesaw Shrooms, and Switchback Hill.

Layout

The level begins with some Waddlewings, as well as Mushroom Platforms. A cloud platform is then found, and is used to navigate across the area. Throughout the area, multiple coins in bubbles and blocks that appear when the player reaches a certain spot are found. Some Piranha Plants are found in Warp Pipes, and one if found on a lift. Some structures of Brick Blocks appear, along with more Waddlewings and a Piranha Plant on a lift. A Trampoline is found in a ? Block. A group of Piranha Plants in Warp Pipes then follows. The cloud then reaches a group of Mushroom Platforms, and a Warp Pipe is at the end of the area. The following area begins with the Checkpoint Flag and another moving cloud platform. A Big Piranha Plant is located above, and a Koopa Troopa and another Big Piranha Plant are on lifts. A large structure of Brick Blocks appears, as well as a Red Ring. Another Mushroom Platform is found, along with another cloud. It moves through a section containing multiple Big Piranha Plants, and leads to the Goal Pole.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: In a series of pipes and Piranha Plants is a lone red Warp Pipe which leads to the area with the first Star Coin. Flying Squirrel Mario, Peachette, or the Trampoline in the ? Block before the series of pipes and Piranha Plants is required to get this Star Coin.
  • Star Coin 2: Immediately after the first Star Coin, the second Star Coin is above a trio of Brick Blocks.
  • Star Coin 3: The third Star Coin is blocked off by a group of Brick Blocks. The player needs to destroy the blocks with a Ground Pound in order to get the Star Coin.
