Talk:Snifit
Does anyone think that articles about Booster's henchmen Snifits, Snifit #1, Snifit #2 and Snifit #3 could be made, I would think there'd be enough information on them to warrant an article, as they appear in Moleville, Booster Tower, Booster Hill, Marrymore and those little cinemas you see when you look into the balcony of Booster Tower later in the game. -- Sir Grodus
Yeah, though I don't know how much info you could flesh out of them. -- Booster
I was thinking about just having a combined article for them, instead of individual ones for them, since they're almost never seen apart and pretty much have the same information. -- Sir Grodus
That works. -- Booster
What about Snifit #4, #5, #6, and #7? -- Son of Suns
.... Well, Snifit #4 is already covered at Apprentice, I dunno about the rest, they don't really do anything and are, well, "optional scenario characters", if there is such a thing. -- Sir Grodus
I think a small mention of 4-7 near the bottom of 1, 2 and 3's article would suffice. -- Booster
Number 4 is not actually the Apprentice. If you lose to the Apprentice, it becomes #4. If you lose to another Apprentice, it becomes #5. I actually thinks this goes on to #6 or #7 (I forget). The next Apprentice in line gets rejected, as Booster already has so many Snifits. -- Son of Suns
I tried creating the article a while ago. It wouldn't work, probably because of the #s in the name, I always got redirected here. -- Sir Grodus
Sub-Species
Should we have so much info on Snifit's sub-species in thwe article? It seems to have no information about snifits, just it's subs..... - Ultimatetoad
The sub-species of Snifits appear more than actual Snifits, but I guess it could be removed, if thats what people think is best. -- Sir Grodus
Sub-species deserve a mention in the game they appear in (as done in the Goomba article) with some minor info on them. However, detailed information should be in the sub-species article. -- Son of Suns
So, is there too much sub-species information? If there is, some of it can just be removed. -- Sir Grodus, who thinks he's found a picture of a Snifit sub-species originating from The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!
I think so.... half of the sections talk about sub-species. Couldnt we remove some of the "appearences" sections and make on big Sub-species section? - Ultimatetoad
"some thoughts"
Er, I'm about to edit this out, as it gives nothing to the article, its probably fanon, and its poorly written. For anyone who wants to put it back in, or reword it, here it is:
* There are some thoughts that says that under the mask Shy Guys and related species are actually human.
New Article
There are lots of sub-species that all have their own, tiny articles. I was thinking of combining all of the sub-species into a big article so there weren't so many small waste of space articles. The picture needs to be changed to a newer picture of one. I am goombob and I love paper mario games (talk) 18:41, 17 May 2013 (EDT)Goombob
Unfortunately, that is Snifit's most recent artwork, and so it is used. MarioComix (talk) 20:50, 17 May 2013 (EDT) Well there still is Paper Mario: Sticker Star And a few others. Btw I do not want to find so I will not respond after this (In case it does happen to get into a fight). :) I am goombob and I love paper mario games (talk) 12:49, 18 May 2013 (EDT)Goombob
New Island
Should it be stated here that they reappear in Yoshi's New Island?--Poponana2 (talk) 15:53, 20 January 2014 (EST)
- We usually wait for the game's release, although a note can be made in the article if they've appeared in screenshots or something. Lord Grammaticus (talk) 15:58, 20 January 2014 (EST)
Are they Shy Guys?
I guess this is following on from the Bandit proposal. How are Snifits related to Shy Guys? No Guy at the end, no sign of a hei-ho in the Japanese name. Forgive me if I'm wrong or if I missed something. (T · C) 15:47, 3 June 2015 (EDT)
- They look and act a lot more like Shy Guys than Bandits. Binarystep (talk) 17:30, 3 June 2015 (EDT)
How To Improve Snifit
Perhaps this was tagged because it is a bit too thorough? How might I make this article better without ruining it? ThePeachinator (talk) 02:31, 28 April 2016 (EDT)
Spookum
Why does the Spookum here count as a normal Snifit? VOIDTHIS (talk) 23:41, 12 May 2018 (CEST)
- As has been said in many other places, but not as much here, strangely, it's because they have the same basic stats (I think?) and the exact same Japanese name. The dark grey/black ones are just the "high ranking 'character'" versions of the same thing. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 17:52, 12 May 2018 (EDT)
Artwork from Yoshi’s New Island, yet no section in the article about Yoshi’s New Island?
Why is this? Could somebody add info about this. I don’t have the game myself. Seandwalsh (talk) 21:31, 18 February 2019 (EST)
- You answered your own question, there. Very few people own the game, due to it being....mediocre and soulless. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 21:36, 18 February 2019 (EST)
Split
So, seeing as how the "Snifits" in Super Mario RPG have black robes, different stats, and are called ブッカー (Bukkā) instead of ムーチョ (Mūcho), shouldn't they be split considering how we handled other clearly misnamed enemies in that game? Who has lost his tail? 02:59, April 1, 2019 (EDT)
Host Snift
Shouldn't there be an article for the host Snifit from Sticker Star and Color Splash that hosts Snifit or Whiffit get his own article? --Magma. (talk) 20:18, July 22, 2020 (EDT)
- I'd say so, I was wondering about that. I'm unsure what we would name the article (he just says "I'm your host, Snifit," so maybe "Snifit (host)")? IIRC he has a unique design with a bowtie, which would give more purpose to the article. Scrooge200 (talk) 21:22, July 22, 2020 (EDT)
- I'm not exactly familiar with when we should use game titles as distinguishers, but "Snifit (Paper Mario series)" could be a consideration. Maybe even "Host Snifit", if the Color Splash screenshot is anything to go by. MarioComix (talk) 22:57, July 22, 2020 (EDT)
- We don't call Mario "Contestant Mario", so I think "Host" is the title in this case. The French translation makes it more clear that it's a title (it reads "Animateur: Maskrache"). "Host" isn't capitalized in dialogue, either. Scrooge200 (talk) 00:42, July 23, 2020 (EDT)
- I'd say "Snifit (host)" works pretty well. --Magma. (talk) 09:41, July 23, 2020 (EDT)
- Question: what can be uniquely said about the host that couldn't already be said succinctly in the Snifit or Whiffit article? I'm fairly certain he doesn't appear outside of the game show and, for all we know, it could be a different Snifit. LinkTheLefty (talk) 10:52, July 23, 2020 (EDT)

Resemblance to Sturm
I was thinking, maybe we should add a small tidbit in trivia that Sturm's Advance Wars (1) design resembles a Snifit? It was mentioned in the Sturm article in the Advance Wars fandom wiki, so I was thinking maybe we should mention it hee? Thanks in Advance, SomeRandomNintendoFan (talk) 16:05, December 30, 2021 (EST)
