"What a ride! But so, what's new? Listen, with the Friz around, things happen that couldn't happen in a million years! Like that! NOT. But I'm sure you can tell the difference between what's real and what's NOT."
Yeah. This category is a leftover of older MarioWiki writing, serving no actual purpose than to link a Mario cartoon concept to the rest of the Mario series. I'm sure our readers are smart enough to know what real and what's not, so I don't think we need to tell them that things like AR Cards are "real world" and things like Wario's Garlic aren't, and things like "game mechanics" and "music" not being listed here also brings this category into question. It's overall a pointless category that's applied with far too broad of a stroke (we don't have a counterpart "Fiction" category) with a wonky name that I'm fine with yeeting.

- Results May Vary (talk) It still works to organize by what's within the Mario, Yoshi, Wario, and Donkey Kong franchise and what is from the real world itself.

For purposes of organization, wouldn't it be better to merge this category into Category:Main instead? -- Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 18:19, September 19, 2021 (EDT)
This category largely exists to separate concepts from within Mario media (main) and real-life things (real world). Real world has people; main has characters. Real world has places; main has locations. Real world has special events; main has events. Real world has television series; main has shows. Real world has companies; main has organizations/businesses. Music contains stuff from within Mario media while live music exists in real life and albums are bought in real life, hence their parent categories. Yeah you could merge it all into main, but then the distinction between the examples I listed becomes less clear. The pages and immediate subcategories of game mechanics are in-game concepts, same with downloadable content, which is why those are in main. --Steve (talk) 20:23, September 19, 2021 (EDT)
