Baby Luigi[edit]
Baby Luigi's nominated?! HOW COME NOBODY TELLS ME THESE THINGS!? :P So, you're a Luigi fan too? He's the best big 8 character! Z3r0 Tw0
Re: Thank you[edit]
Hey, no problem: I like helping people. When I first came here I didn't know much either; editing articles is the best way to learn, but remember to preview before saving the page, so you can catch any typos and make sure nothing else is amiss (plus you can experiment without messing anything up on the actual articles, though most people will recommend using the sandbox for that sorta thing). I'll take a look at the Baby Luigi article right now. See you around! - Walkazo
- I checked, and I edited the Mario page too. It said that the page was locked so only "registered Users" could edit it, which is why it doesn't give guests (non-logged-in people) the option to edit at all. As I said on the FAQ page, once you're here a bit longer, you'll be able to edit it too. Just be patient. - Walkazo 20:47, 15 August 2008 (EDT)
Yey like it bro! Super Luigi! Number one! Luigi is 1000000 times better than Mario for me!
Hello Super Luigi! Number one!
Hello [again] Super Luigi! Number one! How are you?
Re: Your game reviews and Rosalina[edit]
Well, I don't think it's terrible or anything, it just gets a little redundant once in a while. But some games pull the whole "saving peach" thing off pretty well! Like, you don't even realize the whole point in Galaxy is to rescue Peach. You just think of getting stars!
I had never heard that she was going to be an AT. Where did you hear that? The Mario Super Sluggers thing, I'm not sure about. So far, it's only a rumor and I've never seen it so I can't confirm it or deconfirm it. Although, if the rumor is proved, I will DEFINITELY put it in the article! Starry Parakarry
P.S. I honestly don't have any specific reason why I like him. I just like him! LOL, I just immediately liked him when I played Paper Mario!
Rosalina FA Support[edit]
Hey, WhiteKnight! I just wanted to say thanks for your support on the Rosalina Featured Article! Also, thanks for telling me about the gender thing! Hope to see your continued support and hope to talk to you again soon!
- I had heard a rumor about Rosalina originally going to be Peach's sister, too. In fact, it was somewhere in the Rosalina article at one point. I guess it must've been taken out... Oh, I researched that thing about Rosalina in Brawl but it turns out that the person mistook Gardevoir for Rosalina. Which kinda stinks. I would've liked to see Rosalina instead of Gardevoir. I don't know a lot of people on here either, I just joined. Thanks for saying I rock! You do too! *high fives*
Peach FA Oppose[edit]
Isn't Solid Snake's Codec Message already there, under Official Descriptions and Statistics in Super Smash Bros. Brawl section? ♥Rosalina♥
Re: Hey[edit]
Maybe, though "it was all a dream" endings usually leave people feeling cheated. I was thinking of a game where Bowser had to save his kingdom from some mysterious new invader, and Mario etc. get involved and Bowser manages to defeat them but can't take advantage of it because of the greater enemy. He saves them all, but no one knows it because they were unconscious for the final battle, and the invader was secrative and no one but Bwoser, the Koopalings, Kamek, Kammy, etc. knew about him. But perhaps Peach would believe Bowser, since she tries too see the good in everyone. That way it's an ironic ending, but not a totally unhappy one. And it leaves Bowser all the more eager to marry Peach again in the future, so everything goes back to the status quo. - Walkazo 21:38, 16 August 2008 (EDT)
- I see Bowser as an anti-hero at best - even if he defeats the greater villain, it's because his stuff was being threatened, like in Super Mario RPG. That's why no one would appreciate what he did at the end - so he doesn't get branded a hero. I have very strict theories about time travel and how the past is immutable, so I'm afraid I can't support that idea. I dislike Mario because of all the casualties and destruction left in his wake. My favorite example is the Amazee Dayzee - all they does is try to run away, and maybe attack in self-defense; yet Mario hunts them down. There are many other creatures I highly doubt are employed by Bowser or any other villian that goes up agaisnt Mario. Yes, many of them do pose the plumber a threat, but that's what animals do. Anyway, I don't actively hate Mario though, I just don't buy into loving him, and say I hate him because it's fun and it sparks philosophical discussions about the nature of good and evil, and all that jazz XD - Walkazo 00:08, 17 August 2008 (EDT)
- Luckily for you, I only made my signature recently so I know what do... Sorta, being a minimalist, my signature is just links, with nothing fancy. Sig pages are "User:your_name/sig", like mine: User:Walkazo/sig. On that page, you just type in what you want, and then when you sign {{User:name/sig}} all the content of that page (your links, pictures, etc of your signature) will appear. So that's the "why" and "what"; for "how" you can look at Help:Signature for the basics, and I find the best way to learn how to do something is to look at an already existing page and emulating what that User's done. So, you might want to look for another user who has images in their sig, go to the sig page and "Edit" or "View Sourse", then copy and paste the coding from the edit box (DON'T save anything you do in thier Userspace, however), then sub in your image for the one they're using, and make any other changes you want (your name, different colours, different links, etc.). I hope I've been helpful; if you have more questions on this matter, try asking a Sysop with images in their sig (it's their job to help Users, though I'm perfectly happy to answer any more questions you have myself). - Walkazo 19:28, 18 August 2008 (EDT)
No problem: helping people is what I do ;D Anyway, I don't dwell on Luigi nearly as much as Mario, seeing as he doesn't do as much, but that in itself contributes to my opinion on the Green Plumber. I think he's got a really hard life: he does the laundry and all those sort of unglamorous domestic chores; and he gets the short end of the stick in everything else too. Even when he's saving the world he is in his brother's shadow: they both saved Peach those first few adventures, but she seemed to favor Mario, if later releases can be trusted (plus Mario was called "the Hero of the Game" in SMB, with Luigi as "his brother"). Even when he has his own adventures, he still doesn't get the girl (Princess Eclair); he and Daisy do seem to have something, but she had the end-of-game love scene with Mario first. What happened to him in Super Paper Mario (both Mr. L. and all the stuff about the Pure Heart's ideal host, and then his Final Smash in Super Smash Bros. Brawl implies Luigi's a really multi-layered character with some rather dark aspects to his character. It's fascinating; but sadly, time has started to crunch for me (homework in particular), so I must leave it that that. Good bye! - Walkazo 21:28, 4 September 2008 (EDT)
RE: Waluigi[edit]
I didn't say anything about Waluigi not being a good assist trophy, I don't even play Brawl. I said he was an unoriginal character with not much information about himself. His name, too, shows how much creativity put into making him. The people at Nintendo probably said something like this: "He's like Wario, but for Luigi instead of Mario. So let's just take the beginning of Wario's name, Wa, and slap it onto Luigi! Wa-Luigi!" If Nintendo wants to keep him, they should at least put him in a mainstream game. It's too late to change his name, but, hey, think about these things before you invent the character. CrystalYoshi 08:31, 17 August 2008 (EDT)
- I don't know, maybe as a minor villian or something. That's not really the point, the point is that Nintendo shouldn't really be creating characters to fill space in spin-offs without explaining who the character really is, and putting a little creativity in. CrystalYoshi 19:51, 18 August 2008 (EDT)
Well, okay, maybe his name is fine. But Nintendo should still put him in a story game to just make him more of a real character. CrystalYoshi 09:34, 31 August 2008 (EDT)
Petey Piranha's FA support[edit]
Just to clarify, an article can only become featured if it has at least 5 support votes and no oppose votes whatsoever. Also, once it reaches said requirements, its featuring must go unopposed for a week. In this way, 1 oppose vote overrules 1000 support votes. Pikax (talk) 14:13, 20 August 2008 (EDT)
Re: FA Removals[edit]
As I know it, Time Q deletes FA Nomination pages if they have been inactive for more than one month. I guess it's just signifying that nobody is trying to fix whatever that the opposes opposed against. You can see how inactive a nomination page has been inactive Here, and I do try to keep them alive if I see an inactive one. Of course, you can always nominate it a second time, and actively contribute to fix those mistakes; something I know you're capable of doing ;) Marcelagus (T • C • E) Speaking of which... could you give your opinion on the SM64 Nomination? Nobody's opposed, but there's only 4 supports, and it's just heartbreaking when a nomination page dies when it hasn't been opposed; I'm not asking you to support it, but just to do one of the two (support/oppose) so that the page doesn't get removed.
Hmm[edit]
Because my original username was Fixitup. What you're seeing is either old comments, or a mistake on my part when I first changed my name. FD09
Removing Comments[edit]
Hi. I noticed that you often remove your comments on talk pages. Why do you do this? While it's not really forbidden to remove your own comments, I do think it's useless and confusing (for people who have read your comment earlier and now wonder where it's gone). So, uh, could you please leave them on talk pages, or don't post them in the first place? Time Questions 05:55, 9 September 2008 (EDT)
Hello[edit]
I find that Chapters 3 and 8 are the best one; Glitzville is very mysterious, while Chapter 8 is really intense. So, kudos to Nintendo for that. As for Luigi...he's pretty agile. In comparison of the other three, I'd say Mario>Luigi>Yoshi>FatsoWario. It's nice to meet you, BTW. — Stooben Rooben 16:42, 9 September 2008 (EDT)
- Alright, I've given my opinions. What do you think? — Stooben Rooben 18:09, 11 September 2008 (EDT)
- You're quite welcome. Petey Piranha is a good character, and considering how new he is the the Mario series, his article is pretty impressive. :) Oh, and thanks; that's by far my favorite expansion I've ever done. :D — Stooben Rooben Second would be Donkey Kong Hockey... 15:17, 21 September 2008 (EDT)

Hi there, WK! I'm Palkia47 (originally known as MegaMario9910; you can call me Palkia or Mega), and I was wanting to meet you. How are you? --Palkia47 19:07, 11 September 2008 (EDT)
- I'm good, yet bored. So, you're a hater of Yoshi? --Palkia47 22:06, 11 September 2008 (EDT)
- Ah, neat. My favorite Mario character is Yoshi, ironically. O_o True; Luigi has appeared in one of the most famous games EVAH in the world. Btw, since you're character is a knight, does your wiki character have a sword? --Palkia47 14:19, 13 September 2008 (EDT)

Hai! Yea those aren't very valid or specific. Why don't you put a list of what you see is wrong with their votes on the bottom of comments, then see what they/others say about your reasoning, which I think is resonable! Z3r0 Tw0
Re: Hello[edit]
That's fine. Actually, that's really good. I'm glad you're willing to place the betterment of the article above side wars. That's the whole point of FA anyway. Good job and I'll see you on Bowser's FA page! Stumpers! 19:20, 15 September 2008 (EDT)
Re: There's no need to be sorry[edit]
No worries. I saw your reasoning, and now I know what the situation is. But now the article is featured so happy happiness :). Marcelagus (T • C • E)
Hi! Super Luigi! Number one! How are you? Um... hi. I'm a Luigi fan and well... any thing (postive) about Luigi is fine with me! PS I'm sorta of newbie. Luigiweegee (talk)

Trivia sections[edit]
Just any trivia section that appears to have way too much information. I didn't set up any strict rules for the template. I was just concerned about Trivia sections getting out of hand with things like explaining the characters' obvious emblems and other stuff that could be mentioned in the main article. You did a good job fixing it up. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 08:07, 31 October 2008 (EDT)
Wow, Thanks![edit]
Those are some great ideas! I especially like Mr. L v. Rookie and King Boo v. Petey Piranha. In fact, Mr. L v. Rookie could very well be the next issue :D. I like the idea of the two alternate identities. I always love ideas and I love feedback even more. Thanks, White Knight, Marcelagus (T • C • E)
Hi[edit]
Hi! I'm Mario304 and I love Mario! How are you?
That's great! By the way, I read your userpage and I agree that Mario is Missing! is a lame, boring game because it's educational and the enemies never hurt Luigi!
Yeah, it is! You know what? I read the character comparison on The 'Shroom about Rookie vs. Mr. L and I loved it! Thanks for submitting the idea to Garlic Man!
I think the three Star Fox characters have the best Final Smash because the player can lift their opponents off the screen and one shot from that laser and the opponent is dead!
It's fine! By the way, thanks for that link you sent me, I loved it!
Yes, mine was great! Merry Christmas to you too, congratulations on getting those two games! Check out my user page and you'll see some more Mario games on my list!
Dude, You're Awesome![edit]
Thanks a 'lot for supporting my Shroom section! You're only the second User to give feedback (cong0atulations!).
Thank you even more, for making a great suggestion for the next issue. I did in fact look at Luigi and think "hmm, I should do him" (*sigh* you know what I mean... choose him for my analysis). But I liked Toon ink a lot so I did- discussed him - first.
Wow, that's awesome that you gave me such detailed info to use. You've done half the work for the next issue :P (here's 100 coins, mate)
I'm sure the issue will be great with your info combined with mine. Oh, and I haven't been on at many of the same times as you, so this is my first time truly noticing you. So I checked out your User page, and was delighted when I saw a certain quote in your Favourite Quotes section. Man, I remember saying that... lol.

Pokemon[edit]
Yeah that is fine. Just make sure that all the trophies and Snake codecs for other Pokemon are consistently using "it." If not, we may have to discuss which pronoun to use for some Pokemon. If the trophies and other profiles are consistent, feel free to change the pronouns. -- Son of Suns (talk)
The Sacred Tome[edit]
ZOMG, you're one of only 3 users to mention my birthday... so you get +100 Awesome Points :O.
Yeah, we're so far ahead here, it was probably way after my birthday when you typed the message. But that doesn't matter.
Not that I can think of. But one of my presents was... the official Prima guide for SSBB. So now I'll have a good source for Brawl Tactics. But I definitely won't just copy stuff straight from the book, I'll just get some ideas from it. It seemed to help, as one of my friends who came over is pretty l33t at Brawl, but I beat him 75% of the time. With Lucas. Lucas.
My other friend doesn't have the game, so he just spammed moves against us, and won occasionally (due to Handicap).

Re: Speculation[edit]
You came back just to ask little ol' me a question? I'm honored! Anyway, the Wikia admin got it right: making random stabs in the dark is not allowed, but speculation backed by enough valid facts is acceptable. There is no fixed line between what is and isn't allowed, though - it's more of a case-by-case thing, though wild speculation's pretty easy to spot.
Your Mr. L Trivia is a very good example for this. Often times, speculation like that would be considered too far a stretch, however, Super Paper Mario is renowned for making references to other games, and considering how Luigi's Thunderhand in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga is pretty unique, it is reasonable to draw that connection. Also, Mr. L doesn't use lighting attacks, so that begs the question of where the name comes from. A counter-example of unacceptable speculation (which I just thought of right now), is: "Since Luigi is associated with the name Green Fire (a Kart), "Green Thunder" may have been chosen for Mr. L's nickname as a similar, yet different title." That's even more of a stretch, and while it could also draw on the M&L:SS info by pointing out how the Thunder and Firebrands were "opposites" in that game, it just seems like the writer's trying too hard.
Acceptable speculation should be the kind of thing that makes you slap your forehead and go "Why didn't I think of that? That's so obvious!" or maybe "Wow, that's crazy! I never would have thought of that!" but never something that will leave the reader shaking their head going "Well maybe that's true, but..." And then there's that age-old adage: When in doubt, throw it out.
I hope this answered your question! - Walkazo 22:34, 6 July 2009 (EDT)
- I miss these kinda head-scratchers. Well, it's basically the same as if there was only one possible explanation: each postulate must be scrutinized, and if there's enough foundation for the speculation, it can be kept, but if it's more of a stretch, leave it out.
- In the Snake & Sonic example, I'd say remove all the speculation, as Nintendo hasn't really given us anything to build on. I've seen the "because hedgehogs eat snakes" thing around here, but that should be removed as hedgehogs aren't renowned for eating snakes - if Sonic was a mongoose, that speculation would hold more water, but as it is, it seems more like grasping at air. The Snake's dislike of fantasy thing is bad because everything around him is fantastic, not just Sonic. Snake hasn't allied himself with Mario (if anything, he prefers Luigi - see), so he shouldn't hate Sonic for being Mario's rival. The voice-actor speculation seems too removed from the games to be the real reason. The only one I'd consider leaving is the third party stuff, as it's the only one that seems to have any sort of solid grounding in real life, but again, it's dealing with RL, which seems too political to inject into the actual game. It seems really out of the blue, as far as I'm concerned, and I'd just as soon leave it as "While there has been a lot of speculation on the matter, no adequate explanation for Snake's animosity towards Sonic has arisen, and no reasons for the cryptic codec conversation have been provided by any official source." If I knew more about the Metal Gear and Sonic series, I might be able to comment further and offer some sort of alternate explanation (maybe it has to do with things Sonic has done in the past that Snake would disagree with; maybe they just have incompatible personalities; maybe Snake just arbitrarily dislikes some people...), but for now, that's all I've got on the subject.
- The Negative Zone stuff, on the other hand, I do know about. Unlike the Snake Codec speculation, there's a lot of basis for the Negative Zone, and my guess is that Nintendo had most, if not all of it in mind when designing the move. The "Living in Mario's shadow" thing comes straight from Luigi's Final Smash trophy, and isn't speculation at all: "This technique is a reflection of the dark side he embraced in his brother's shadow." However, this doesn't mean the other points are any less truthful, since there doesn't have to be just one answer. The palette swap fact is perfectly valid, and while the colours of the negative zone are more opposite than the difference between the original Mario and Luigi sprites, green is the opposite of red. The Minus World thing is more of a stretch, as it is referring to the name of the attack more than what it's actually like, and seeing as the effects of the Negative Zone do not resemble Minus World in the slightest, I wouldn't include that point. (The Smash Wiki's point about how the zone looks like a photo negative is more plausible a name origin, though comparing it to the original Japanese name to see if it refers to "negative" as in film or "negative" as in opposites would be the best way to investigate that speculation, as I doubt the two negatives are homographs in Japanese too.) The destroyed Sammer's Kingdom is even more of a stretch in that it does not reflect the name, effects or appearance of the Negative Zone, but is more of a metaphor for the things Luigi did as Mr. L, and while he can be seen as another representation of Luigi's "dark side", the whole thing is reading too much into the matter. I'd forget the Sammer's Kingdom stuff, and merely mention Mr. L in the "Mario's Shadow" exposition, as he was the first real occurrence of Luigi's "dark side"; in turn, the Negative Zone should be mentioned on the Mr. L page, as it is a direct continuation of the themes presented in Super Paper Mario.
- In conclusion, when it comes to multiple possibilities, simply evaluate each point as you would individual speculations. Keeping the whole picture in mind is also good, as you can then compare the postulates to see what is strong and what is weak - in order to cull the whole thing into a manageable amount of speculation, and not a huge mess. There is no right and wrong solution when all we can do is speculate, and there is no single answer either. The most we can do is give the readers the most likely possibilities and let them decide for themselves.
