History

WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!

In WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!, Kat resided with Shadow at an unknown place which seemed to be far away from Diamond City. However, an evil skeleton demon called Boneheads caused trouble at the Castle in the city. Kat got a letter from her sister Ana delivered by Don the Sparrow. Ana called for help and so Kat and Shadow headed for Diamond City. On their way, they walked across various Japanese looking landscapes.

When they arrived, Boneheads already took possession of the princess or prince of the Castle and also caught Ana. Kat and Shadow made through the many floors of the castle and eventually reached the roof where Boneheads waited for them. Kat fought hard, but she couldn't defeat Boneheads with her normal sword. So Shadow joined the fight and transformed into a giant sword. With the new weapon, Kat finally defeated Boneheads who degraded then. The princess or prince was delivered from Boneheads' influence and Kat freed Ana by cutting the rope with that she was captivated. At the end of the adventure, Shadow could be seen playing around with Don.

WarioWare: Twisted!

In WarioWare: Twisted!, Kat and Ana went on a field trip with their class on the Diamond Knoll. Their animals, Shadow and Shuriken the Falcon, came along with them. On their walk Ana discovered a beautiful flower. While Kat continued to walk, Ana and the two animal buddies stopped at the flower. Ana decided to show the flower to her sister and ran after her. However, Kat damaged a beehive when Ana arrived and so they both had to escape from the angry bees. They could abscond into a cabin.

Shadow and Shuriken were still outside at the time. In the cabin, Kat and Ana encountered the Diamond Troll. They attacked him with their swords and shortly before they could send out some kind of sword beam at the Diamond Troll, Shadow and Shuriken crashed right into the cabin and hit the ceiling. Then they fell down on the Diamond Troll and all three were knocked out. Kat and Ana were speechless for a moment.

After these events, Kat and Ana decided to go back, but after they opened the door of the cabin, the swarm of bees reappeared. All four friends, Kat, Ana, Shadow and Shuriken, escaped from the swarm in front of the sunset.

WarioWare: Touched!

Scene from the prologue of Kat & Ana: Shadow the Dog discovered the tracks of the banana thief.
Shadow has discovered the banana thief's tracks.

Ana and Shadow stayed in Kat and Ana's house in WarioWare: Touched!. There Ana wanted to eat bananas, but they were missing. While Ana hectically searched the food, Shadow noticed animal tracks in the house. He advised Ana of the tracks by barking. Before they started to follow the thief, Ana wrote a note for her sister. Then Ana and Shadow went out of the house and ran after the thief. Kat joined them along with Shuriken after she read Ana's note. They eventually found the thief, who turned out to be a small monkey. Kat and Ana where charmed by his cute appearance and gave him the name Numchuck. The little thievery was quickly forgotten.

During the cutscene in Kat and Ana's stage in WarioWare: Touched! shown every time after the boss game, Ana throws a stick which Shadow has to retrieve. However, she accidentally hits Kat who angrily runs after her sister then.
