* No swearing or obscenity. These words will get edited out ASAP. * No spamming/trolling/vandalizing. Standard rule for the Mario Wiki, though those guys don't exactly follow them... * No flamming/ranting/fighting. I know I'm not the easiest person to get along with, but if I ever do tick you off, don't rant on my page. * Questions about my Power Master games and/or YouTube videos are fine. There are other places for those kinds of talk, of course, but I don't mind them on here. * Any questions relating to my wiki, please post them here. * I welcome friendship. * Have fun!

Hey Alex95
Thank you for your comment on the main page. I'm thinking that it probably won't do any good, considering spammers and trolls wouldn't look there, and you won't be banned for it. It really won't help, but its exactly how all of us Wikians feel.
On a side note, because of how awesome that speech was, would you like to be friends? Toad and his brigade! 21:11, 16 February 2015 (EST)
Aboutfile reminder
Hello, Alex95. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the {{aboutfile}} template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded syntax is shown below. {{aboutfile |1=Subject of the image |2=Where you found the image |3=Artist |4=Describe edits, if any |5=Other versions (use file link) }} Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line for the parameter(s) you don't use. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using {{aboutfile}} incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |

- I see. Sorry about that... You (or whoever did it) didn't have to correct all that, by the way. If I'm told I did something wrong or inconvenient, I'll fix it. But now I know for the future. (Alex95 (talk) 00:28, 4 January 2016 (EST))
- I didn't fix all of that, but I would have. But next time, make sure you format it correctly, it helps to have a correct aboutfile template in image files. Also, be sure to categorize your images in the appropriate game ie [[Category:Yoshi's Wooly World Images]]. But otherwise, keep uploading images, you did good. - Thanks! That's probably the last (and only) time I'll do a major dump like that. I really just wanted to get through them quickly so I can get through them, but I ended up skipping a few steps... Sorry about that. If I ever upload another picture, I'll make sure to make the proper edits. (Alex95 (talk) 15:32, 5 January 2016 (EST))

Signature
I see you are using raw code for your signatures. Refer to Help:Signature. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 22:54, 22 March 2016 (EDT)
- I don't mind using the raw code. It's quick and easy. Besides, I don't know what to make my sig look like haha. I'm sure I'll make one sooner or later, but for right now, I don't feel the need to. (Alex95 (talk) 23:14, 22 March 2016 (EDT))
- I don't think you understand. It is against MarioWiki policy to use raw signature code (I think). I once inserted raw code but I saw an alert that suggested I move onto approved signature code. My signature just uses {{user}} (
{{user|Wildgoosespeeder}}
). --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 15:39, 25 March 2016 (EDT)- Alright, well, going over the signature policy, it seems the raw code is not allowed in voting pages? I've been told to just use the four ~ if I want and I have not been told otherwise yet. I suppose if it's upsetting you, I'll find another way to use it instead. RE: Sandbox?
Hi Alex95! You can think of the sandbox as a place where you can experiment with the wiki syntax, prepare your wiki edits, and do general tests. For example, if you are designing a long table, you can use your sandbox to test how it looks before implementing it in the actual wiki. It also helps when you want to take a break mid-work, so you can save the edits you made to your sandbox and resume work later. It is better than having an incomplete page on the wiki. You can create your own sandbox by creating a subpage to your userpage, simply open User:Alex95\Sandbox and you can edit it while working on a project. Otherwise, if you want to quickly test something, you are totally free to use MarioWiki:Sandbox, which is a page that was specifically designed for users to mess with the syntax. The main difference is that your own sandbox cannot be edited by any other user (except admins, but they won't usually edit it.) Hopefully I explained that well to you. See you around.
TL;DR: It's a sandbox, why don't you try to design a sand sculpture for the wiki?--

Those facts
Are true Arceus (talk) 13:14, 23 April 2016 (EDT)
- The one where Donkey Kong was made with Pop-Eye characters was partially true. They didn't move the game to the Game & Watch until after the arcade release. Also, like I said, you can't expect people to fix your poor edits. Learn how to edit properly before making a major change to something everyone sees. Not trying to sound mean or nagging here, but please learn how to edit properly before you start making a fool of yourself... 13:17, 23 April 2016 (EDT)

Searching that phrase in Google yields the said movie as the only result. It's fairly well-known, which stars well-known rapper and I wouldn't be surprised if the English localizers named the said quest with that movie in mind. 207.233.76.9 13:07, 26 April 2016 (EDT)

One is next to the red dress and the other is on the "screen" wall (seen through Game boy horror) I swear I've seen Zelda wearing those dresses or at least something similar.
Well, I don't know how to upload pictures and what not, but I guareentee Zelda wore said dresses at least once, and I wasn't complaining, I ask so We can set things straight. Oh yeah, one of the dresses is on the picture in the article.
Okay well, it's the purple dress on the rack next to the red one where the key is found and the other is on the back wall and it's pinkPikmin theories (talk) 21:07, 11 July 2016 (EDT)
Personal Image Tagged for Higher Quality
Do you want me to get you a high quality emulator screenshot of File:LM Clothes 2.jpg? --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 00:32, 12 July 2016 (EDT)
- You tagged it and I have the game and emulator to do high quality. PNG or keep JPEG? Normally I would just go with PNG automatically because this image isn't a good image to use for Wardrobe or something, even in its highest quality. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 00:36, 12 July 2016 (EDT)
- Done. File:LM Clothes 2.png --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 00:49, 12 July 2016 (EDT)
- Do with it as you wish. I just copypasta the text (and sometimes adjust the text) when uploading higher quality PNGs of terrible JPEGs. That's what I do normally on MarioWiki. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 00:53, 12 July 2016 (EDT)

SM64DS
I was adding true facts. Yoshi is actually taller than the plumbers. You removed thinner, twin brother on this page. Luigi is slightly thinner than Mario. And Wario can ground pound signs once rather than twice, which was changed to "twice as much as others". Marole3 Aug 7. 2016

Hey, I know you are acting within good faith, but we need to preserve page history, therefore unfortunately Green Fire needs to remain under the vandal name, until the redirect page is deleted and it can be properly moved back. Yoshi876 (talk)

RE: Pic Stuff
Three things:
- Where did you get that image?
- If you took that picture yourself using your own 3DS live and not a YouTube video, can you use the default white background instead? Please capture cleanly (no JPEG to PNG).
- PNG Monster doesn't fix JPEG artifacting.
I have noticed that 3DS screenshots tend to be less than ~150KB when captured cleanly in HANS, Luigi's Mansion 2 being higher and Super Mario 3D Land being lower. In order to get that level of compression, there has to be high levels of pixel redundancy. Since JPEG to PNG preserves JPEG artifacting and that means each pixel varies in color, redundancy is low. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 20:18, 9 August 2016 (EDT)
- Oh yeah, forgot about + . What probably butchered the screenshot was Facebook itself. The algorithms tend to be in favor of reducing storage requirements of the images submitted to them. Oftentimes the pictures look like crap. Probably better to either use homebrew or turn off your 3DS to insert the SD card into your computer. Even with that said, I don't recommend converting JPEG to PNG because the firmware prefers JPEG to PNG. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 20:29, 9 August 2016 (EDT)

Wii U Screenshots
File:MK8BigBlueStart.jpg - Did you know if you press during gameplay, open the built-in web browser, navigate to MarioWiki, and click upload (or upload new version of a file), you can upload 1280x720 JPEGs of screenshots and not have to rely on Miiverse to harvest the screenshots you took, which are limited to 800x450? That's how I got this screenshot. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 16:48, 14 August 2016 (EDT)
File descriptions
An IP made a description for the file of art box of SM64DS with this edit, saying "The North American Art Box featuring the four playable characters running toward Peach.", but why was it removed? I think every file needs a description. Marole3 (talk) 00:58, 18 August 2016 (EDT)

Italics
How do I use italics? Like this or "this" --Marole3 (talk) 18:12, 24 August 2016 (EDT)

RE: Yoshi's Island World 3 Image
[Dang!] XD That was three years ago! I have no clue how or why I did that to be honest. But If it was me, it was probably an editing overlook. I guess I was just ripping sprites, and assigned different sprites together. Good job noticing that :)--

Goal article
Hey there. Fantastic work adding those descriptions. I'll be posting an update/potential discussion in the Spotlight thread on the forums later today, if you would like to tune in.
Shokora (talk · edits) 16:33, 30 August 2016 (EDT)
- Yeah, I'm very happy with how the article is coming together. There were a few goals I'd like to add from the Wario series too. Do you think the list should be split by game series?
I think it's best listed alphabetically by object, the page could become a glossary of sorts. The images in the gallery could be separated in sections, organised by objects too.
Shokora (talk · edits) 17:32, 30 August 2016 (EDT)
- Would you mind if I added directly to the revision your workpage?
Lookin' good! I'll do something about the gallery now.

Moving Files
Please stop moving files without modifying pages linking to the old file that link to the redirect instead and not tagging redirects with {{delete}} on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
Move Log: I see that you moved File:Npmarch.jpg to File:NPIssue11.jpg and left the redirect standing where pages link to the redirect. As far as MarioWiki users have handled this Wiki, it is not favored to leave redirects to files as changes need to be made to pages that link to the old file name. As a side note, admins have the option to not leave a redirect and they often not leave a redirect for files. Be sure to do that next time. Tag the redirect with {{delete}}. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 19:11, 12 September 2016 (EDT)
- ...Whoops. I meant to, I really did, but I guess I completely forgot to do so. Sorry about that. 19:59, 12 September 2016 (EDT)
