Returning minigames

In the direct I saw that a minigame similar to the ball minigame in Mario Party 2 (wasn't it?) and a Parachutin' Gallery like minigame. Spiny Shell.pngSuperstarxalien169Spiny Shell Reverse.png 13:40, 17 April 2013 (EDT)

As you said, they may be similar rather than the game returning, it'd be better to wait for more information Yoshi876 (talk) 13:42, 17 April 2013 (EDT)

Image category

Should we still have an image category, even if it's a working title at this point?

'Shroom Spotlight Shokora (talk · edits) 08:01, 19 April 2013 (EDT)

I dont think we should not have one, since it's a working title.

About the characters

Is it confirmed how many characters are in the game? And who is playable or not?
The preceding unsigned comment was added by Luigifan100 (talk).

ESRB, Developer, Release Date

IGN lists that the ESRB rating is E. And lists the developer as Nintendo. It also lists the Release Date as Q4 2013. Chaossy (talk) 09:35, 29 April 2013 (EDT)

Boards have special mechanics?

I heard that all Boards will contain their own special rules, like Mario Party Nine, but without the Vehicles. So...is this confirmed?
The preceding unsigned comment was added by Umoria (talk).

Release Date

The release date on the page is incorrect. The source just shows the number of the month, it isn't the actual date. For example, Pokemon X and Y are release on October 12th but it shows 10 on that page because it's the 10th month, like November is the 11th. I don't think I can change it though. The dates for games which have them are shown in the smaller boxes above. r0ck (talk)

Fixed it, and in a few days you'll be able to edit everything. Yoshi876 (talk)

Gamestop says release date Mario Party 3DS

I was searching through Gamestop.com and it said for Mario Party 3DS that the release date was November 1st.--Mariobro101 (talk) 15:25, 22 July 2013 (EDT)

Sorry, but Gamestop is usually inaccurate and gives out false dates and can not be considered a reliable source. --Waluigi's head icon in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 17:59, 22 July 2013 (EDT)
Some people say the release will be Nov. 17th, but we'll just have to wait until it's announced. CRode (talk)

I looked some where once and I saw that it would be released on November 22. Nintendoplayerawesome (talk)

Box art revealed, characters revealed, release date revealed.

Check it out. Here's the source.

Confirms a bunch of characters we haven't seen yet, including Yoshi, Waluigi, Boo, Flutter, Shy Guy, Kamek (could also be a generic Magikoopa), and Bowser Jr.

And according to this flyer, it's coming out on November 22nd in America.

~Whybee 01:20, 28 August 2013

  • Are there any sources that 100% confirm which characters are playable and which ones aren't? Right now, most of the inputs on the article appear to be mere speculation. RedYoshiMK7Signature.png M&SG (talk) 18:08, 28 August 2013 (EDT)

New Characters Playable or Non-Playable?

Are the new confirmed characters really Non-Playable? Or are they playable? Because Bowser Jr. is holding a shell like in a minigame. And Boo is holding a mushroom like an item. Should we add an "Unknown" section under characters? cause it doesn't confirm they're NonPlayable.

Well if they're not playable, then why are they on the box art that wouldn't make sense and I agree, Bowser Jr. is on the game board and Waluigi is holding cards hinting he's playable plus Kamek/Magikoopa is beside him. Rosalina is on the gameboard of the box art though of course she was seen on the side of the space themed rocket jet race but still she's on the game board. Yoshi is running with Wario on the gameboard in the boxart hinting playability. Nintendoplayerawesome (talk)

CRode (talk)

There is a source, but the source doesn't confirm their playability, so their status of being NPC is unconfirmed.

Would it be easier to just name the section 'Characters' and get rid of play-ability status until release date? Because at the moment we don't know that Yoshi is playable, or that Boo is non-playable so them being in those sections is speculation. Yoshi876 (talk)
I'd just rename the section "Other characters" so we don't muddle "playable" and "nonplayable" characters.

Hey, I found a site that shows Koopa Troopa being playable along Princess Daisy, Mario and Toad. http://andriasang.com/con0y3/media_create_sales/ That's the proof I found.
The preceding unsigned comment was added by ‎Nintendoplayerawesome (talk).

Just looked at that, and that's a screenshot of Mario Party 9. I remember that screenshot from a review I read of it. Yoshi876 (talk)

Crud, it looked convincing. I'll keep looking around to see if I can find anything. Oh yeah do you guys mind if I help out with this? ‎Nintendoplayerawesome (talk)

Help out wherever you can. Also you don't need to add the unsigned template after your username, you should use {{User|your username goes here}}. The only reason I did was because it was unsigned and you were probably unaware. Yoshi876 (talk)

Oh ok, I'm just new at this. Nintendoplayerawesome (talk)

Translation

Toward the end of the trailer ([1]), the Japanese names for two of the boards (the mountain one and the space one) are shown. If anyone could give a translation of those that would be wonderful.

-Toa 95 (talk)

I will use my computer to translate the names.--Mariobro101 (talk) 09:37, 14 September 2013 (EDT)

Duel Minigames

Should their be a new duel mini game section under the minigame section with the new judge minigame? DashingYoshi (talk)

Toad Town Map

Unless I'm mistaken I think that the Toad Road like map is part of the Toad Town one. DashingYoshi (talk)

Shy Guy's Shuffle City

Are those cards that Luigi is holding on the box cover got anything to do with this board? Could the different colours shuffle that colour area of the board when played? Mariofan24 (talk)

It has been stated from several articles iv read that the cards are specific for this board and require some sort of strategy i have yet to work out. So yes they do and its unknown what they do. - Cubeguy2ver.pngCubeguy(talk) BOO!! ^w^

Oh, okay. I haven't read that many articles. Thanks. Mariofan24 (talk)

Boxarts

I can't see anything different between the beta and final boxarts. Is it the coloring? Is it really worth to mention? File:KoopaTroopa!.png MegaKoopa Talk 13:13, 19 October 2013 (EDT)

I think the beta should be remove, other than the rating label, there's nothing different about the cover. --Alien Bunny Sprite.pngL151Onnanoko 14:02, 19 October 2013 (EDT)

the diffrence is the rp rating is now changed to a rated E but everything else is the sameWalushyguy (talk) 11:52, 8 November 2013 (EST)

Same source

You keep showing the same source (brand-new MPIT screens)! Why is that?

Because they all came from there? BabyLuigiFire.pngRay Trace(T|C) 12:14, 5 November 2013 (EST)

Sinking Feeling

I just added the links to the minigames and Sinking Feeling is a WarioWare microgame. How do I change it to say WarioWare at the end?--Mariobro101 (talk) 16:57, 11 November 2013 (EST)

Why not try Template:Fakelink? ~~ Boo4761
That'll work, and the microgame should be moved to "Sinking Feeling (whatever game it is in)". Yoshi876 (talk)
Sure, let's do that. ~~ Boo4761

Xylophone Home

"A minigame in which players must roll around on a drum collecting musical notes."I think this IS Zylophone Home.

does anyone know how to make a new sessionWalushyguy (talk) 07:03, 13 November 2013 (EST)

Actually the drum one might be "Musical Snares", because a screenshot of the characters on bumber balls on a drum can be seen in the Nintendo Direct footage. MarioComix (talk) 22:02, 13 November 2013 (EST)

Donkey Kong

Boards are confirmed to seven, last board isn't jungle-themed board. Is he absent in Mario Party? Jufemia li Britannia 10:00, 26 November 2013 (EST)

I think that he is, no signs of him in any minigames or boards....User:Mariofan24

Perilous Palace Path items

There are conflicting reports that the items should not redirect to their inspiration items, though I think they should. For example, what good would come from creating a Setback Shell page? It would be a stub, with not much more information than what game it's from, the board it's used on, and its effect. Rather, I think it makes more sense to link it to the Green Shell page with an Island Tour section, where they mention the same info while also mentioning its name on this stage. MarioComix (talk) 22:17, 11 December 2013 (EST)

Australian release date

According to Nintendo Australia in November 13, 2013, Mario Party: Island Tour was to be released in January 18, 2013. I explain it because I do not have sufficient privileges to edit the page.--77.228.198.87 10:28, 13 December 2013 (EST)

Correct, except 2013 was totally last year ^^; Thanks by the way. BabyLuigiFire.pngRay Trace(T|C) 14:49, 13 December 2013 (EST)

Red Links

The page seems pretty littered with red links. Someone should really go in and create the articles that the links should go to, especially for the boards. I'd do it myself but I don't have the game. Watcher of Game (talk)

I have the game, I just don't know how to go about formatting the new pages. I'm great at following an example though. Agentdave7's Mii.Agentdave7 (talk) 14:53, 22 December 2013 (EST)
Look at other game boards from the series and see how they're laid out. Yoshi876 (talk)
I've created 3 of the board pages for now. They are really small because I haven't had time to get any details about them yet. I'll play the game right now to get more inforation. Agentdave7's Mii.Agentdave7 (talk) 15:15, 22 December 2013 (EST)
The better thing to do would be to play the game, then create the article so it's not a stub. Yoshi876 (talk)
I don't necessarily know what information to put. I'm not the best at writing articles. Agentdave7's Mii.Agentdave7 (talk) 16:51, 22 December 2013 (EST)
As I said earlier, look at the other gameboards, and they will contain the information that should be put in, it just needs to be changed to better suit the article. Take Goomba's Booty Boardwalk for example, it contains what game it appears in, what kind of setting the board takes place in, the layout of the board, how to get stars or complete the objective on the board and what certain spaces like ? Spaces do. Yoshi876 (talk)

Japanese logo and box art

In minute 8:34 of the Japanese Nintendo Direct conference on December 18, 2013, you can see the Japanese logo of Mario Party: Island Tour. I say that because I do not have privileges to upload the image, and I think it would be useful for the gallery, as the game is about to leave on 20 March. The Japanese box art is that:

Trivia: Rosalina

Should it be noticed/stated that Rosalina appears on the cover but has no real importance to the game? Usually important characters are the ones the covers.--Poponana2 (talk) 18:50, 31 December 2013 (EST)

I don't think that's a significant trivia. She's likely there to help represent the Rocket Road board. MarioComix (talk) 19:23, 31 December 2013 (EST)

Capture Card Help!

To anyone with a capture card and this game: Please take two screenshots for this page in the Boards section. The first one is the intro of Shy Guy's Shuffle City, and should be uploaded under the file name of "File:ShyGuy'sShuffleCityIntro.png". The second one is of Kamek's Carpet Ride, which should look like "File:Kamek'sCarpetRideIntro.jpg". If you look at the table of boards in the Boards section, there are some other Into screenshots that can guide you. Thank You! I use Miiverse (and I know how to save images from it). I'll see if I can get those screenshots right now. Agentdave7's Mii.Agentdave7 (talk) 16:43, 18 January 2014 (EST)
Never mind. It won't let me go to the HOME menu and post the screenshot at that exact shot with the title of the course. Agentdave7's Mii.Agentdave7 (talk) 17:18, 18 January 2014 (EST)

PAL minigame names

ONM (Official Nintendo Magazine) has just done a review on this game, and they name a variety of minigames that have different names than the North American names. If someone could help add those, that would be great. MarioComix (talk) 18:33, 18 January 2014 (EST)

I have that issue of ONM so I can do some, but without the actual game I'm fairly limited. Yoshi876 (talk)
I have now done it, bar the ones that don't have articles currently. Yoshi876 (talk)

References to other games: 'Wii Party' comparison

Although not strictly a Mario game, 'Perilous Palace Path' board strikingly resembles 'Board Game Island's gameplay from Wii Party including: the linear board layout, roadblock that require dice rolls to progress/finish as well as the rewarded dice & order of play handed out after minigame play. vanherrmann (talk)
