Uppercase on redirect ?

Hey YoshiKong ! It's been a pretty long time I talked to you, but could you help me ? I don't understand the purpose of the uppercase on the redirect page : Why should we use "#REDIRECT [[Example]]" instead of "#redirect [[Example]]" ?
Banon (talk · edits) 13:40, 30 December 2012 (EST)

Sorry for copy-pasting instead of moving. I did the same with the talk pages, does it matter ? And, if that's not too much for you, can you move properly the pages ? Thank you a lot in advance.
Banon (talk · edits) 16:54, 30 December 2012 (EST)
Ok thanks for the explanation ! I should have searched better. If you have time, that would be great if you could move the pages, because I'm sure I will do it bad, once again.

Just asking..

Can I ask you?

Do you play GameCube and Wii games on their consoles or on emulators? I play then on emulators what about you?

About Boom Boom

I believe your an admin right? Do you think you can help in making the Boom Boom page into a species page rather than a character page? Sources such as the official European, Australian, and Japanese websites of Super Mario 3D Land as well a some manuals, refer Boom Boom in the plural sense. Two games also show multiple Boom Booms, Super Mario Advance 4 through World-e and New Super Mario Bros. U on the world map. This proves Boom Boom being a species and some users refuse to change the page since they make excuses such as other Boom Booms being clones, which the game has no proof to suggest this. Sorry if this is long but you think you can help making the Boom Boom page into a species page? Smasher345 23:07, 30 December 2012 (EST)

SMB Mushroom World Article

The one Wendy picture looked good, but... I think there already was a pose for it:
Artwork of Wendy O. Koopa holding a magic wand from Super Mario Bros. 3
^^;

Sorry for the trouble.

But the thing is, when I meant the Koopaling Poses, I meant from within the pinball machine itself. They look like these:

The only difference is, the poses that they have wands. LTIan (talk)

My Article

Hi YoshiKong, I need some help again. I created an article called Voice Acting a few days ago but it got deleted. (It was a minor stub that I was going to expand later) I asked User:Phoenix for help but he didn't respond so could u please find out what happened there and try to get the article back?

Nothing special

File:WL4-SP Frog Block.PNG
Unique Frog Blocks? I don't think so.

I checked your last edits on the Frog Switch Block article where you uploaded and added an image (pictured) and wrote this statement:

"The level Domino Row contains a unique type of Frog Switch Block. Only the top half of the block is filled in, and Wario is able to move upwards through the block, while still using it as a place to stand."

Being you honest, there's nothing special with those Frog Blocks, they are as common as the other Frog Blocks seen in the game. They aren't unique, they are common Frog Blocks with a thin platform (the ones Wario can jump from below to pass or fall through when his is in Zombie form) behind them. Take a glance at the screenshot again, or play the level again by yourself, to know they are not so special; having a thin platform from behind doesn't make those blocks unique.

Proposal

It doesn't matter if it's redundant only the proposer has the right to remove a proposal before it's done. Marshal Dan Troop (talk)

Re:Article

In the article, I was talking about voice acting in the Mario series. It kind of looked like a useless stub at first, but when it got deleted I actually WAS planning to expand it later.

RE:

Mariobros1985 (talk) Hi there, this is Yoshi@:) and I have a few questions. First, how do you make your userbox tower have all those fancy pictures? If you see mine, it only has some shabby boxes that were in the help page. Second, something to add to the "Did you know?" section would be that Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon is the 3rd game to feature Luigi as the main character. And finally, not to be mean or anything, but how come ShellMario is on your friends list? His name is on the block list for posting inappropriate content, and he'll never be unblocked.

Why is Phoenix ignoring me??

Hi again, You're friends with Phoenix right? Could you ask him if he has something against me or something? Every time I send him messages or a friend request, he just ignores me. Since you're his friend, could you at least ask him what's going on? If he's busy or something I could understand, but I saw him respond to other users! Could you try to find out?

Clarification

Sorry to bother you, but I'm sorta confused. The infobox I added to the Shroom Shake page not too long ago was removed by me because that infobox is for Recipes. But if you look at the Shooting Star (Paper Mario) page, it has the Recipe infobox, despite not being the result of a recipe. Can the Recipe infobox be applied to any item that is used in a recipe? -- T P A 20:01, 3 January 2013 (EST)

RE: Sprite

Yes, I don't really know what happened. I downloaded your version, added transparency, and uploaded it. It was bigger, but I don't know why. And, for an unknown reason, I noticed your version was transparent only after the upload. Before, I think the little grey/white squares weren't there. I'm sorry.

Actual size sprites are "always" preferable?

On modern monitors, actual size sprites are absolutely tiny. On the page itself, the files you are reverting are miniature and can barely be made out at all. I can assure you that the sprites have not been edited, just made larger, and in some cases more accurate than the ones I'm replacing. Please don't just revert them because they're a bit bigger. If they need to be smaller for whatever reason, they can be resized. But making them larger makes them blurry and horrible. So this is the only way to make them both visible and actually nice to look at. Unless you can give me a way to make them larger on the pages they're on? Fizzle (talk) 17:35, 6 January 2013 (EST)

I can assure you on my monitor they're absolutely tiny. I guess I'll have to make a proposal if it's the standard, because it's a bit rubbish. 8x8 size sprites on 1920x1080 resolutions are obviously going to be virtually impossible to see in any detail. I mean, sure, you can see them, but... look at Tamara. It just looks like a bunch of pixels unless you squint. Then again, not sure how big your resolution is... but on HD standard screens they are really difficult to see. Fizzle (talk) 17:59, 6 January 2013 (EST)
Ah, that's fancy, I wasn't aware of that. Sounds like a good idea! By the way I hope my edits aren't causing too much work, I'm just going through all the SML2 enemies one by one. Fizzle (talk) 16:55, 7 January 2013 (EST)
I tried making a SVG file but whatever converter I used botched it up, it doesn't scale. I'm not sure how to mark images for deletion on this wiki, but here's the file: File:Antotto.svg. I can try overwriting it later though if I figure it out. It seems harder to make these files than it looks, it's not really reasonable for multiple files, it looks like it needs to be done by hand for whatever reason. Fizzle (talk) 13:54, 8 January 2013 (EST)

Help...Again

Hi YoshiKong,

Remember when I created an article called Letter Symbol and it was deleted? For whatever reason, it got moved to here. and that makes it look like garbage on this wiki. I want to delete it but I might get in trouble. Could you help with this?

--driftmaster130 (TalkEdits) 20:08, 6 January 2013 (EST)

Thanks! I really appreciate it! So, are users actually allowed to remove BJAODN content? I though that I might get in trouble so I asked you to do it since you're a patroller.

P.S.: This is kind of late, but congrats on being made a patroller! I've seen you reverting (or attempting to) vandalism and trolling a lot, and this wiki now bears the message "BEWARE WRONGDOERS" :) Oh, and I made you this to celebrate. It's kind of bad because it was thrown together at the last minute, but congrats anyway!

Curiosity

I'm not stalking you or anything, just asking because I'm curious. Where in Australia do you live?

--driftmaster130 (TalkEdits) 16:57, 7 January 2013 (EST)

Cool! I know you probably don't get snow where you live, but have you ever seen snow before? I live in Michigan, USA, in one of the snowiest areas in the US. Funny how while there's like two feet of snow on the ground outside my house, it's summer on the other side of the globe. I know that most people ask this when they talk to someone who is Australian, but have you ever seen Kangaroos before?

--driftmaster130 (TalkEdits) 19:03, 7 January 2013 (EST)

Never mind

Let's just say I'm happy for my talk page to be fixed so how about we forget the contents thing. Tadaa!2.gif R3D347H wuz here Tadaaa!.gif

Best not say "Jap"!

I believe I may be able to, if they are out there. It's a bit harder finding enemy names from the Wario Land series and the Virtual Boy game MIGHT be stretching it due to the way the system died a swift death, but virtually every enemy has an official Japanese name somewhere, it's just a question of locating it. I think I can wind my way around the sources I've found to locate them, hopefully. Man though, SML2 has so many enemies and some of them appear like, once. Some enemies still don't have a page on the wiki yet. Such a strange game. Fizzle (talk) 10:08, 8 January 2013 (EST)

There is some suggestion on the talk page that the names may not exist at all even in Japan due to the lack of a guide book, but I'll do my best. Fizzle (talk) 10:17, 8 January 2013 (EST)
Unfortunately not. All the ones I found are the ones with artwork that are in the manual. I can add names for them all, but that's all that seems to exist. Without a guide book in Japan, I suspect the names simply don't exist or are unknown. I guess that includes the bosses too. Sorry about that. I will keep looking, but I would suggest moving them to descriptive names for now. If you need help coming up with good names I can chip in, but I recommend making them neutral. Are the names in the template the ones you plan to use? Were the bosses named in the manual? I would kind of recommend against simply making up names if it can be avoided. My suggestions for the boss names would be:
Mace Dinosaur or Mace Dino or Spike Dino (reference to Spike, of course) or even just Ball and Chain Dino since a "mace" is a different weapon really
Sand Swordfish (Sanorkel is a really vague name)
Pot Robot or Pot Mech (It's not really that clown like, and it's more of a robot or a mech than anything else)
They're not particularly exciting names but they're descriptive and don't fool people into thinking they're official. Fizzle (talk) 09:33, 13 January 2013 (EST)

Re: SVG

What format are you converting from? You can only convert from vector formats, such as PDF or SWF. SWFlashSWFlash.svg

You can't convert raster images into vector, unless you redraw them, which I did for the SMB sprites. SWFlashSWFlash.svg
Notepad. SWFlashSWFlash.svg
Not for sprites. SWFlashSWFlash.svg

Please Check again your opinion

I made a new choice. Please check your opinion again.. thanks! (Here)

Virtual Boy Wario Land

If you let me know what year and month (and issue number) it is I believe I know where to find the scans to download myself. I would be very curious to see. I was thinking "dragon" for the first guy too because dragon seems to be used more commonly than dinosaur in the series and it's a bit less definite and we don't know exactly what he is. Also, Pot Tank would work, perhaps? It still looks like a pot even though it's a tank, it has handles for ears and everything.

Given that Nintendo likes to pretend the Virtual Boy never happened I wouldn't get your hopes up TOO high... but it might be worth it if only just to remind them that the game exists and they should release it on the 3DS Virtual Console already. Fizzle (talk) 09:58, 13 January 2013 (EST)

Well heck, that's bizarre and surprising! I have to say, I kind of prefer our names, but hey, we take what we can get. I guess NoA used simple placeholder names for these kind of things... Dinosaur Fish? Weird. Not sure what's fish-like about him but I guess he does skip across the water. Anyway, excellent work, seems like you got a good guy. A lot of people who work at Nintendo are fans, after all! Actually, this makes me wonder if it's worth asking about Super Mario Land 2... can you e-mail the same guy back perhaps? Just a thought, if you got a good "inside man" he could fill out a ton of things like this if he has time, haha. Fizzle (talk) 21:13, 16 January 2013 (EST)
To be honest I'm tempted to try my luck with some Zelda stuff as I'm an editor on the Zeldawiki and names can be even harder to find for those games. I didn't expect you'd get the same guy twice though, but that's a shame. Maybe take a note of exactly when you sent it and you might be lucky to get him if you tried in future! Ha, what we need is a Nintendo employee editing the wiki. Fizzle (talk) 21:45, 16 January 2013 (EST)
