Template:Character-infobox Rogue-Hog is a member of the Hog species that Donkey Kong must fight in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. He is the ruler of the Watermelon Kingdom and is fought in a desert canyon-like setting, which is part of his kingdom. Rogue-Hog looks like a massive, bipedal hog, with brown skin, four tusks, yellow eyes, disproportionately tiny legs, and a magenta mohawk.

He attacks by throwing electrified green fruit in arcing patterns. Donkey Kong must clap to stop the fruit he throws in midair and rid them of their electric charge. From there, he can punch them back at Rogue-Hog, leaving him open for a beating. If Donkey Kong claps near Rogue-Hog, he can knock up to three pieces of non-electrified fruit out of the boss, giving him an opportunity for some easy damage. He should avoid staying near Rogue-Hog for too long without clapping, however, as he can attack with a swipe of his arm if the Kong is in range.

After losing about half of his health, Rogue-Hog occasionally throws spiky red fruit instead of his normal projectiles. Donkey Kong cannot reflect these fruits, so he should avoid them and wait for a green one. Rogue-Hog also becomes more likely to throw his fruits straight at Donkey Kong rather than in an arc, requiring different timing to stop them successfully.

Trivia

  • Rogue-Hog is a pun off the word "Road-Hog".
