Karikari are common brown rodent-like enemies in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. They generally live in packs varying in number, and latch on to Donkey Kong, who cannot move unless he knocks the Karikari off. With the Sound Wave Attack, Donkey Kong can turn the Karikari blue and immobilize them. Donkey Kong can simply defeat the Karikari, which each release a banana. In the New Play Control! release, they replace Kamikami entirely, and the Sound Wave Attack can dispose of Karikari instantly.
In the files of Super Mario Galaxy, the unused early design of Slurple is titled Kari Kari.[1]
