Ratl Ruins is one of the five continents of the Shake Dimension and the first one explored in Wario Land: Shake It! The area's name is a pun on the word "rattle." Its spelling may be a reference to the Mayan ruins on the continent. Ancient Mayan cities featured names that very often contained the consonants "t" and "l" right next to each other.
The Ratl Ruins is mostly composed of large stone temples and ruins that bear resemblance to Mayan and Egyptian ones, and the rest of the continent also features landscapes such as deserts, jungles and beautiful waterfalls. The continent is ruled by the giant stone statue Rollanratl during Queen Merelda's capture.
