Crackpots are octopus-like enemies from Wario Land: Shake It! They shoot spiky balls at Wario, and afterwards, they hide in the pot they are in. They have a great resemblance to Octoroks and Snifits. Their name is a literal take on the pejorative term "crackpot", used to a person that commonly holds ridiculous, implausible beliefs and dismisses all evidence against them.
Crackpots come in two colors, which are red and purple. The purple Crackpots spit out three spiky balls at a time when Wario carries it around while the red one only spits out one. If the enemy is stunned, Wario can pick it up and shake its pot, causing the Crackpot to pop out and shoot in whatever direction Wario is facing. This can be used to defeat other enemies.

- These uncommon hostiles like to hide out in little pots, waiting for the curious to come waltzing by. Then they stick their heads out and start spitting spiky balls! Handle Crackpots as you would any other dangerous foes: Stun them with Earthshake Punches before dashing forth to defeat them.[2]
- NOTE: Wario can use Crackpots against his foes: Grab and shake a Crackpot to make it fire its spiky balls at enemies![2]
