Where the Rrrumbas Rule is a course in Deep Magma Bog of Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It introduces Rrrumbas along with the Spike-Ball Mario transformation. It is unlocked after clearing Deep Magma Bog Observatory #1, and its own completion unlocks Raarghs in the Ruins and Deep Magma Bog Flying Battleship. It has a secret exit that leads to Badge Challenge Boosting Spin Jump II. This course houses three Wonder Seeds, and has a difficulty of two stars.
Layout
When the level opens, a Rrrumba rolls beneath the player, showcasing their ability to bowl over enemies and obstacles. Glowing Rrrumbas are also shown to hold items. The player is also introduced to Topple Rocks which can be pushed over to destroy bricks. A series of semi-solid platforms follow populated by Rrrumbas, Topple Rocks and Spinies. A large Topple Rock is then found which must be pushed over to clear a shaft of Brick Blocks. At the bottom is the Checkpoint Flag.
Quarter-pipes and half-pipes are introduced to the level, which Spiny Shells can slide up and then come back down on the player from. A purple Rrrumba is soon encountered which holds the Wonder Flower. This turns Mario into Spike-Ball Mario, who can roll through enemies and obstacles unimpeded. The player passes down a winding tube of enemies and obstacles, much easier cleared as Spike-Ball Mario, at the end of which is the exit pipe leading to the Goal Pole. If the player collected the Wonder Flower, the Wonder Seed is sitting in front of the pipe.
Hidden Character Blocks
- A Nabbit Hidden Character Block can be found after collecting the Wonder Seed. It is located on the left side of the pipe that leads to the normal Goal Pole. It contains a single flower coin.
10-flower coins
- 10-flower coin 1: In an alcove beneath the first set of Topple Rocks, blocked off by Brick Blocks. Drill Mario or the aid of a Rrrumba are required to go under or destroy the Brick Blocks respectively.
- 10-flower coin 2: Soon afterward, a large flat semi-solid platform above a parade of Spinies is found. There is a ceiling off-screen which Drill Mario can burrow into to access a sub-area housing the second 10-flower coin.
- 10-flower coin 3: After the Checkpoint Flag, Topple Rocks block an alcove from the left. There is an alternative passage from the right that the player should drill through or lure a Rrrumba into breaking open. This enables them to push over the rocks and enter a pipe. In the sub-area, they must quickly wall jump off of two Topple Rocks to collect the 10-flower coin, taking care not to fall into lava below.
Hidden goal
At the large shaft before the Checkpoint Flag, the player should wall-jump off of the large Topple Rock or the pipes nearby to burrow into the ceiling as Drill Mario and pass over the shaft into a hidden passage. This takes the player to a pipe leading to the hidden goal.
