WarioWare Gold
Template:Infobox WarioWare Gold, known as Made in Wario Gorgeous (メイド イン ワリオ ゴージャス Meido in Wario Gōjasu) in Japan, is the eighth game in the WarioWare series, and the only entry for the Nintendo 3DS family.
The title is a compilation of microgames from across the franchise, including a number of new additions as well. Many returning microgames, however, have been updated to new control schemes, scenarios and visuals. Overall, WarioWare Gold features 316[1] microgames, the largest collection in any WarioWare game to date, a record previously held by WarioWare: Twisted! for the Game Boy Advance.
WarioWare Gold is also notable as the first game in the series to feature fully voiced cutscenes. Most characters receive new voice actors, while Charles Martinet reprises his role as Wario in the English version.
Story
After stealing a golden pot from a temple at Luxeville, Wario comes to the realization that he is completely out of money.[2] While reflecting on this in his house in Diamond City, Wario sees a report on television about Super Pyoro; a new entry in the Pyoro video game franchise that fans are eager to get their hands on.[2] Acknowledging the money that could be made in the booming industry, Wario again sets out to capitalize on the video game craze.[2] Using his laptop and a recording device, Wario streams his latest scheme to the residents of Diamond City; a gaming competition with a steep entry fee, but a ten million coin reward to the victor.[2] True to form, Wario calls up his closest friends to do most of the work for him and again, they agree.[2] With his fortune on the line, Wario sets out to begin Diamond City's first "Wario Bowl" games.[2] Unbeknownst to Wario however, a small girl named Lulu is pursuing him in attempt to retrieve the golden pot that was stolen.
Story Mode
Story Mode is divided into 4 leagues. The first 3 leagues all use a different control scheme: the Mash League (using the buttons like in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!), the Twist League (using gyro controls like in WarioWare: Twisted!), and the Touch League (using the touch screen like in WarioWare: Touched!). The 4th league is called the Ultra League and it uses all three control schemes plus a fourth involving blowing the microphone. The Ultra League is hidden at the beginning of the game and must be unlocked.[3] The first three leagues each consist of 5 stages, with each one having its own theme. The first stage is always an introduction stage hosted by Wario. The other 4 stages are hosted by one of Wario's friends and have one of the following themes: That's Life, Fantasy, Sports, and Nintendo Classics. All themes appear once in every league. In the Ultra League, there are 3 stages, including two "remix" stages which compile all the microgames from six of the previous stages, and center on two of the themes, and a final stage hosted by Wario's newest alter-ego, Wario Deluxe, which compiles all the microgames from the introduction stages and a brand-new set centered on a new theme: Anything Goes.

Summon the Courage In her mansion, Ashley successfully summoned a demon named "Gahrumble". After summoning, Gahrumble appears to be starving. Red believes his starvation was the result of Hum Gree, who always gets his victims into constantly eating without getting full. Ashley decides to take on Hum Gree despite Red's discouragement. Later, Ashley and Red return to their mansion to celebrate their victory over Hum Gree and decide to eat. | ||

After Doris 1 recognizes that Crygor was her creator, she chases him into the forest while Mike waits. Later, Dr. Crygor, Mike, and Doris 1 return to Crygor's lab after deciding not to abandon Doris 1 in the forest. Mike confesses that he made up the paranormal frequencies and that ghosts don't exist. Star Scientist Penny works on her Totally Transformative Elixir which is designed to make a voice sound higher pitched so she can accomplish her dream of being a pop-star. Penny decides to feed him the Super-Special Tummy Tonic to ease the pain. Later, the tonic cures the stomach pain. Crygor tells Penny to rework the elixir to not create stomach-aches and asks her when the effect will wear off while Penny laughs nervously. | ||

"I'm 9-Volt, and this is the second stage of the Touch League! I bet it's gonna be way more fun than what I'm doing–studying math. I'd rather be home with my pet Fronk, or playing the Nintendo Classics games that I made for the tournament. Think of me when you're gaming like a pro!" | |
Math Quest 9-Volt finds himself in math class at Diamond City Elementary School. After being disappointed about being in class, Fronk surprises 9-Volt to make math more interesting. In order to get 9-Volt into paying attention, Fronk organizes an RPG based word problem to help him solve it. Realizing that math is like a video game, he and Fronk star in an RPG. Later, 9-Volt beat the game and feels like a hero with Fronk as his apprentice. To thank him for making math interesting, 9-Volt offers his dessert to Fronk but declines it as he considers himself as an old man. While 9-Volt doesn't believe so, Fronk considers turning one to be considered as "old" but appears young from the practice of "8-Bit Yoga." | ||

Cricket & Mantis Sports |
"Welcome to the third stage of the Touch League! My name is Cricket, and I suggest you to pay close attention. Precious Prancers Young Cricket and Master Mantis visit the Diamond City Amusement Park to train for unexpected dangers. Cricket finds the thrill rides as the dangers he conquers. To start his training, Cricket hops on the "Precious Prancers" carousel. Later, they accomplish the training not realizing that Lulu is latching onto Cricket's arms. After discovering her, Cricket tells Lulu to get off. Before his next trial involving a ferris wheel, Cricket must complete a lost child trial and Lulu tells him to giddy up like a horse. | ||
Orbulon Fantasy |
"Greetings. You've come upon the final stage of the Touch League. I am Orbulon. I am no Earth folk like you, but I still enjoy the savory delights of this planet. Mmm...delights. While they do not satiate hunger, my Fantasy-themed games will surely provide ample amusement." | |
Gigantaburger Orbulon enters the drive-thru of Gigantaburger to order food. After finishing his meal, he returns to order another. The process repeats until Orbulon orders Megaburgers which are sold out. Realizing that they don't have the hams to make them, Orbulon teleports to a farm to capture pigs. Later, Orbulon returns to the Gigantaburger with his Oinker full of pigs. Mike and Fronk introduce their games and show the player how to play them. Later as everyone is having a good time, Mona realizes that they should invite Wario. | ||
Potluck Gang Nintendo Classics & Fantasy |
"Come join me, 5-Volt, for an extra-special second stage of the Ultra League! Later 18-Volt defeats 9-Volt at the card game and thinks he was lucky. Dribble thinks to invite Wario the next time they have a potluck. Finally, 5-Volt takes a picture of the guests along with some Sasquatch family members. | ||
Wario Deluxe Anything Goes |
"What are YOU doing here?! Are you thinking you could beat ME? THE Wario?! Well, think again. The theme for this last stage is Anything Goes. That's right! You're about to see all kinds of crazy stuff! I'd pay attention if I were you. I'm not gonna make this easy!" | |
Who Is Wario Deluxe? Wario tells the player that he has claimed the reward. Wario puts on the pot of Luxeville and transforms into Wario Deluxe. The sky over Diamond City grows dark and Wario Deluxe rides on a platform hoisted by several balloons. He then challenges the player to the last of his microgames, but sometime during the challenge, he uses his new powers to confuse the player by hiding what function is needed for the coming games. He then suggests that the the player should surrender, but then Lulu appears and distracts him by shooting arrows into some of his balloons and grabbing the pot, allowing the player to defeat him. Afterwards, Lulu introduces herself as "Luxeville's greatest hero", but Wario doesn't see it. She then demands Wario to return the pot, but when he refuses, she squirts him with the Hydrocannon LX. The pot falls off and Wario reverts to his normal self. She reveals that the pot was actually a potty which shocks Wario. He allows her take it back and tells everyone-else to leave as the credits roll with Lulu flying on a balloon. The credits were interrupted by 9-Volt and the rest of the Warioware crew while Mona, Dribble, and Penny demand their pay. Wario decides to run off with a suitcase but is eventually tripped by Ashley's spell. Young Cricket secures Wario to the ground while 5-Volt takes a picture. The suitcase opens up which Spitz described as "Shiny". While 18-Volt reminds Wario that stealing is wrong, Kat realizes that they weren't paid enough and Ana believed that Wario spent it on balloons. Jimmy T. and Dr. Crygor jokingly agree to split the pay and Orbulon promises Wario a share of the cut. While the crew agrees to split the cut, Wario is displeased. The game ends and the actual credits roll. |

Challenge Mode
Challenge Mode features stages with altered rules. Challenge mode is unlocked after completing Story Mode. The following Challenge stages have been confirmed.[9][10]
Stage | Description |
---|---|
All Mixed Up | All the microgames from all stages are mixed together. |
Thrill Ride | All the microgames are mixed together and only one life is avaiable. |
Super Hard | All the microgames are mixed at high speed. |
WarioWatch | Similar to its version in WarioWare: Twisted!. No lives can be lost in this mode. Instead, the game ends when the clock reaches 0. When a microgame is completed, more time is added to the clock. Microgames must be completed as fast as possible to get high scores. |
Sneaky Gamer | Similar to its version in Game & Wario. The player controls 9-Volt playing microgames after bedtime while avoiding being caught by 5-Volt. When 9-Volt hides, he becomes tired, so he cannot hide for a long time. When 5-Volt discovers 9-Volt playing or when 9-Volt becomes too tired, the game ends. |
Wario Interrupts | All microgames from all stages are mixed together. Wario Deluxe unleashes several distractions like blocking the screen during a microgame. Lulu can be called to eliminate the distraction. |
Cruise Controls | Control the speed of Dribble and Spitz's taxi by tilting the Nintendo 3DS. The faster the taxi's speed, the faster the microgames are played. The player must complete a set of 15 microgames in as little time as possible. |
Split Screen | Kat and Ana take turns at playing microgames. Kat's games are played on the top screen of the Nintendo 3DS, while Ana's are played on the bottom. There are no transitions between games, so the player has little time to prepare. |
Battle Time | This is a multiplayer mode hosted by Young Cricket and Master Mantis. Two players can compete with each other and the first who loses all his/her lives loses. |
