- There are three mysterious figures in Shiverburn Galaxy (pictured) that the player can see upon entering first-person view. In the game's files, they are separate from the galaxy's background textures, and the filename of the graphics that depict them is "HellValleySkyTree". "BeyondHellValley" is the galaxy's internal name, "Sky" probably refers to this part of the background and "Tree" refers to the figures.
- There is an unused music clip from Mario Party 8 which is a variation on the "You Got a Star!" jingle, suggesting that Ztars were originally going to appear in the game.
- Whenever a Spine Coaster moves quickly, specifically on a slope, it lets out a dinosaur-like roar.
- The manual for Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest misspells Flotsam's name as Floatsam in the same section where it's titled "Flotsam".
