Hammerswing Caverns, or Superstar Road-4, is the fourth course of Superstar Road in New Super Mario Bros. U. It is unlocked when the player collects every Star Coin in Frosted Glacier.
Layout
The course is based on the icy caverns in Frosted Glacier. There are many hammer-shaped platforms that swing back and forth as well as large and small icicles.
Star Coins
- Star Coin 1: The first Star Coin is near the beginning of the level. After the player passes the first set of double swinging platforms, there is an alcove slightly transparent. Mario should jump into the hidden alcove in the ceiling.
- Star Coin 2: The player will need to use the Flying Squirrel suit to glide under a ledge and reach a Warp Pipe that contains the second Star Coin.
- Star Coin 3: The final Star Coin is found at the end of the level. The player can reach the wall beside it with a running start and wall-jump to it. The player can use the Flying Squirrel suit to reach it as well.
