Were they ever officially named "Koopa Paratroopa" or do they only appear as simply "Paratroopa"s? Shouldn't the page be moved to Paratroopa? - Cobold

They are not a subspecies, just Koopas with wings. We should merge this with Koopa Troopa.

- There are many reasons why we wouldn't merge them. Two examples are: They act differently and are different playable characters in some games. Yoshiwaker
