Sluglugs[1] are purple-violet sea slug-like enemies with yellow spikes and 2 yellow feelers with red gradient tips (particularly resembling the Spanish shawl) that appear in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. They are underwater enemies that move their long bodies in and out of Warp Pipes. Attacking it causes it to retreat, And unlike with Piranha Creepers, They are not defeated if they are attacked back into their pipe. Sluglugs can be defeated by either fireballs, Trunk swipes if in Elephant form, If came in contact with with the top of the player's head if they are in Drill form, If someone who has Super Star Invincibility comes in contact with it and/or luring Smackerels to a Sluglug's location when they jump out of the ground to attack. But bubbles will do absolutely nothing to them because of their spikes. Sluglugs are encountered in 2 levels in Super Mario Bros. Wonder: Leaping Smackerel, and Wiggler Race Swimming!
