Through the thorny maze!! is the third story of chapter three in the game Wario Land II. As the name suggests, it is a forest area filled with spiked animals and thorn-related obstacles. The player can also visit some hollow trees to collect more coins. The level features two mazes composed of Kotsuheri and floating thorns which can be traversed only via owls.

The hidden treasure of this level is located in the area with the slopes, where Pirate Gooms and Kotsuheri can be found. Wario can access slope at the upper left side of the area. He can then smash through the middle one of three lined-up brick rows to land right before the treasure door.
