Template:Character-infobox The Ice Vellumental is an origami polar bear and the final Vellumental boss encountered in Paper Mario: The Origami King. It resides in the Ice Vellumental Mountain located on Diamond Island. After the Ice Vellumental is defeated, Olivia obtains its Bibliofold and gains the power to transform into the Ice Vellumental on certain magic circles. It is based on a polar bear and White Tiger.

Battle

The Ice Vellumental starts the battle encased in a block of ice, and is immune to most of Mario's attacks, with the exception of minimal damage from the Fire Flower. Mario must use the Fire Vellumental's power to melt the ice block, and can then damage the Ice Vellumental with the 1,000-Fold Arms, which will render it dizzy and cause it to lose a turn. Later into the battle, the Ice Vellumental will start encasing certain panels with either blocks of ice or snow patches. If Mario walks across either, he will be frozen and will lose his turn. Nothing can be done about the snow patches, although the blocks of ice can be broken by sliding them through the center of the arena while the rings are being organized, although cancelling the move will put the ice back.

Towards the end of the battle, the Ice Vellumental will create an Ice Maze every turn. It starts by showing a safe route, then shuffles two or three of the rings. The safe route shown must be memorized before the rings get shuffled, and will always involve walking over an ON panel and ending at a 1,000-Fold Arms Magic Circle.
