Crown Chip

Template:Item-infobox Crown tokens[1] (also called Crown Chips[2]) are collectibles in the Nintendo Switch version of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker found exclusively in the "Crown Capture" levels in the Special Episode. Only the first one initially appears in each level they are encountered in; however, once the player collects the first one, a hidden timer activates for each subsequent crown token. The player must then collect the crown tokens before each timer runs out. If the player fails to collect any crown token within any time limit, they must restart their progress from the beginning. Collecting all five crown tokens reveals a Shiny Crown.
