List of errors in the Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia that are not from the Super Mario Wiki
- [11] The book uses edited Japanese artwork from Super Mario Maker that changes the release years to the years that the games were released in the west with the exception of Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels. Due to this the artwork erroneously places Super Mario Bros. 2 in front of Super Mario Land, Super Mario Bros. 3, and Super Mario World despite Super Mario Bros. 2 releasing before those games were released in the west. Super Mario Land is also placed in front of Super Mario Bros. 3 despite Super Mario Land releasing earlier in the west. These errors are fixed on page thirteen.
- [13] The Nintendo GameCube is listed as the GameCube, despite other systems such as the Nintendo 64 being referred as their full names.
- [42-43] Goombos, Bombshell Koopas, Piranha Plants, and Bullet Biffs are called by their Japanese names.
- [44] Pipe Cannons are called Gina Cannons, an unofficial name, and their description uses Bullet Biff's Japanese name.
- [49] Goomba's Shoe is called by its Japanese name.
- [51] The Fiery Walking Piranha is called a "White Piranha", an unofficial name. It is referred using plural pronouns despite only a single Fiery Walking Piranha appearing in the game.
- [63] Lakitu in a Pipes are merged with regular Lakitus in the "enemies" section for Super Mario World.
- [69] The Sunken Ghost Ship is incorrectly called the sunken ship. Earlier in the book on page 67 the level is correctly called the Sunken Ghost Ship.
- [71] When the book describes Super Mario World's perfect score, there is an image of a zoom-in of an image of the title screen showing the perfect score of 96. However, the actual image of the title screen that is being zoomed on has three empty save files with no score. On the same page the book incorrectly refers Wigglers as "Wrigglers", twice, before correctly referring them as Wigglers in the same paragraph.
- [78] Bells are referred as "Mid-Point Bells", an unofficial name.
- [85] Ukikis are referred as one character, despite two appearing in Super Mario 64. This is fixed on page 86.
- [86] The Wiggler is incorrectly called a Wriggler again.
