Baboon Blast (Barrelum Perilous) is one of the moves used by Donkey Kong during the events of Donkey Kong 64 that helps him reach a special Barrel Cannon course. This move can be purchased from Cranky's Lab for 3 Banana Bunch Coins starting in Jungle Japes. To use it, the player must press the button while Donkey Kong is standing on one of Cranky's Kong Pads with the shape of his head on it. If done correctly, Donkey Kong shoots up into the sky and enters a Barrel Cannon course. On this course, Donkey Kong has to shoot from Barrel to Barrel and attempt to reach the end. This usually rewards Donkey Kong with a Golden Banana or by activating another event on the stage.

Trivia
- Only Angry Aztec's Barrel Cannon course is required to beat the game, as it is otherwise impossible to enter the Llama's Temple to free Lanky Kong.
- Frantic Factory's Barrel Cannon course is the only one to not have its own unique music track. It instead uses the main theme of Frantic Factory.
