Pirate Dream in the Party Mode of Mario Party 5.

Pirate Dream in Mario Party 5 is a board map from the Dream Depot. It was created from dreams of adventure. The dream resembles a grotto similar in layout to the waterfall room in Keelhaul Key’s Pirate's Grotto. Additionally, the map is reminiscent of an abandoned mine and a seaside cliff. Landing on a ? Space onthe mine track caused a boulder to come rolling out of the mine chasing players in it's way off the track. Landing on one of the ? Spaces on the waterfall caused it to give way and the player fell down the waterfall to a space in front of the pirate ship. The ? Scace on the pirate ship made players jump into it's cannon and blasted off to a space with a cannon sign next to it. Finally, landing on the ? Space at the top of the board made Monty Mole come out to give players a chance to dig for coins. All they had to do was tap the A button constanly to dig coins out with the pickax. This was the only board in the game to have Thwomp and Whomp. Thwomp gave players a lift to a higher part of the board for 10 coins. For the same price, Whomp let players use the ladder he was blocking.

In Story Mode, Bowser and Koopa Kid attempted to take over Pirate Dream. But when the player (Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Wario, Daisy, or Waluigi) came to stop them, Bowser made Koopa Kid do the fighting for him. Koopa Kid then split into 3 Koopa Kids: Red K. Kid, Green K. Kid, and Blue K. Kid. But the player defeated all three of them, and they turned back into the one Koopa Kid. He and Bowser escaped to cause trouble in another dream. This battle took place on a simplified version of Pirate Dream.
