Template:Level Jungle Jaunt is the first level of Donkey Kong Land, and also the first area of Gangplank Galleon Ahoy!.

Similar to the first level of Donkey Kong Country, this level is the first jungle level of the game, and its main obstacles are only small abysses, as well as the enemies, Kritters and Slippas. These foes can be simply beat with a single jump. To make things even easier, Jungle Jaunt also includes Rambi. This Animal Buddy can help the heroes get though the level easily, and also find a hidden Bonus Level.

Level Layout

Donkey Kong Land

At the start of the level, the heroes need to walk along east through the jungle. There are some enemies as they go, and the first Kong Token in the whole game is also found right on the path. Soon, they will jump up on a ledge, where there is the letter K. After that, the monkeys should jump down and continue up a few more ledges, with Slippas on them. At this point, they should hop up on a high treetop and leap off to the right side of it to get another Kong Token. From there, the heroes should move on and grab the letter O, then keep going east, where they will find Rambi. With him, the monkeys must travel more east and climb up several ledges, until they get to the halfway point.

From here, the group needs to continue on and jump over a few gaps. They will later get the letter N, the third Kong Token of the level. Moving on, they must avoid some villainous Kremlings, and soon get the letter G. Not very long after that, the group should see a portal. It will take them out of the level.

Bonus Level(s)

  • About halfway through the level after the letter K, the Kongs should climb up a few ledges with Slippas on them. From there, they need to jump on a tree, and then hop off the right side of it. If they fall strait down, they should land on a hole in the ground, and a rope will come out. The apes need to ride on it, as it moves up to get in the Bonus Level. Here, they need to simply walk across the area and collect bananas freely. The exit is at the end of the Bonus Stage.
  • To get to the second Bonus Level, the heroes must get Rambi near the middle of the level, and then come to a wall right after the letter N is found. There should be a few bananas in front of the wall, meaning that they can break through it with their rhino buddy. When it is open, they must simply walk in and enter the special level. Here, the monkeys will have to just swim across the area and then exit at the other end. There is also a Life Balloon here.
