Mini Pandas are enemies that appear in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, appearing in two stages late into the game: Grim Volcano and Asteroid Belt. They have ballerina-like movements, such as when they first appear on the screen, and pirouetting when they are moving toward Donkey Kong. They can also jump across the screen. If Donkey Kong is nearby, they attack by slashing their claws at him. The Mini Panda's primary form of attack is their own version of the Sound Wave Attack, which can be deflected with Donkey Kong's; doing this stuns them and sends them into the air. If the player can reach them before the stun wears off, Donkey Kong confronts the Mini Panda similar to a Gōrumondo, though the Mini Panda is falling down the screen and must be punched once when it lines up with Donkey Kong's punch to defeat it. Defeating a Mini Panda gives eight beats.
In New Play Control! Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, the Mini Panda is retextured to have two different shades of teal rather than black and white like a panda, seems to have gray fur around the mouth with spots of a darker color, the bags under its eyes are blue instead of red, and has brown claws. However, the formerly-white areas are still distinct from the rest of the fur if examined closely. Due to lighting differences, the one in Grim Volcano appears to have a tan muzzle and the one in Asteroid Belt a light blue one.
