History
After Luigi vacuums up Spooky in the Boneyard, he must scan Spooky's kennel for it to make a small gust of wind dragging him into the Graveyard (similar to entering the Hidden Room from a mouse hole in the Butler's Room).

After entering the Graveyard, Luigi must tap a gravestone directly below the main one to summon three Mr. Bones (or five in the PAL Hidden Mansion). After capturing each of them, a blue aura glows around the main headstone. Luigi must walk to it, causing lightning to strike on the tombstone, making Bogmire rise from it. Luigi then screams in terror and is transported into an arena to battle Bogmire.

When Luigi vacuums up Bogmire, he returns back to the Graveyard, where a large chest spawns next to him. Luigi must open it to collect the Courtyard Key, allowing him to start Area Three.

The Graveyard is the final room of Area Two of the mansion in Luigi's Mansion. It is where the area boss, Bogmire, is fought. The Graveyard is located north of the Boneyard; it is an enclosed rectangular area with eight tombstones that occupy most of the room. Some tombstones may release a Heart upon being tapped, but the upper left one always releases a large heart that restores up to 50HP. Toward the end is a small slope with a few steps to the main headstone, which is Bogmire's resting place. A Fire Elemental Ghost can spawn from either torches on each side of the tombstone; besides the Roof, the Graveyard is the only room where Luigi can touch a Fire Element Ghost. Luigi can obtain a Red Jewel from the downspout at the bottom-right corner.

The Graveyard can be accessed by examining Spooky's doghouse in the Boneyard with the Game Boy Horror after clearing the area. Three Mr. Bones (five in the PAL Hidden Mansion) have to first be defeated after examining the tombstone below the main headstone. Once Luigi has caught the Mr. Bones, an aura surrounds the headstone. Luigi can examine the headstone by having lightning strike it, causing Bogmire to rise out and starting the boss fight with Bogmire in a different arena. After Bogmire is defeated, Luigi returns to the Graveyard, where a large chest with the Courtyard Key appears, allowing him to start Area Three.
