It has been suggested that this page be moved to Weight (Yoshi's Story). Reason: Why are we using an unofficial strategy guide name? (discuss)

Spiked stones,[1] also described as "weights,"[2] blocks,[3] and spiked blocks,[4] are angry-faced weapons similar to Thwomps, appearing on the final page in Yoshi's Story, where they are carried by the Black Shy Guys inside Bowser's Castle. If a Yoshi walks near a Black Shy Guy, it will release the spiked stone, which will crush whatever is beneath it. Coming into contact with a spiked stone makes the Yoshi lose some petals from his Smile Meter. Spiked stones appear in the levels Lift Castle, Ghost Castle, and Mecha Castle.
