A Balloon Bully,[1] or Mr Clown,[2] is a character found in Yoshi's Story. Despite "bully" being in its name, it is a helpful creature. Balloon Bullies are large blue balloons, which are found in mechanical crates or ? Bubbles. Three of them are found in the game: two in Surprise!! and one in the Lift Castle. When a Yoshi fires an egg at a ? Bubble containing a Balloon Bully, the ? Bubble falls and expands into a balloon-like creature with a log on its head. The Yoshi can ride a Balloon Bully to reach otherwise inaccessible items. When the Yoshi stands on its log, the player can use the Control Stick to control the Balloon Bully's movement. If the Yoshi leaves a Balloon Bully's lift, it will remain stationary for a few seconds, then it will slowly sink to the ground.

Artwork for Balloon Bully is used in Mario Artist: Paint Studio.

[4] (He is a bit shy and usually hides behind ? Bubbles. But when I have freed him, he is so happy that he shows his gratitude and transports me as a living elevator to lofty heights, where there is usually something tasty or even valuable to find. But as I said, he is very shy, often I will not get to see him.)
