Walking Blocks[1] are enemies in the Game Boy version of Donkey Kong. They are first encountered in Stage 3-1. These stone creatures resemble Thwimps and walk horizontally slowly, including across spikes. Mario can jump onto them to cross larger areas of spikes. Walking Blocks do not hurt Mario in any way, although they do sometimes block his path.

Get on board and take advantage of it.

Walking Block is like a walking Thwimp (p. 82). It is not damaged at all even if you touch it from the side or get on top of it. If the bottom is dangerous, use it as a platform to cross. You can't even lift it up.
