Wear this to use Soft Stomp. 2 FP are required to use this attack, which may make a foe temporarily soft and drop their Defense. However, it can't drop their Defense below 0! Wearing two or more of these badges causes the enemy to stay soft for longer, but the move will require more FP. (Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Nintendo Switch)

Soft Stomp is a badge in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. It is found in Rogueport Underground, in the bottom-left corner of the area with residents, can be bought from the Lovely Howz of Badges for seventy-five coins, and rarely dropped after battle by Spiky Goombas, Spiky Gloombas, and Ice Puffs. If Mario equips it, he is now able to perform the Soft Stomp attack, a jump attack, for two FP. The move behaves similarly as a normal jump attack, also dealing the same damage as one, but upon coming into contact with an enemy, even if the Action Command is not performed properly, they become "softened", lowering their defense by three points for three turns. If multiple copies of the badge are equipped, the amount of FP needed to use the move is increased, but the amount of turns the enemy stays shrunk increases by two per additional badge.
