The Thousand-Year Door (Nintendo Switch) description A spicy dog made by Zess T. Charges you and replenishes 7 HP and FP.

The Hottest Dog is an item that is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch remake of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. It is the only item to be added to the remake, and it is made by giving Zess T. a Hot Dog and some Hot Sauce. It restores 7 HP and FP while also giving the user the Charge status. After solving the Ratooey businessman's trouble, he hints towards this item by mentioning that his new product—the Hottest Dog, a combination of his Hot Sauce and Mr. Hoggle's Hot Dogs—was canceled.

In the original game, the businessman mentions combining Hot Dogs with Hot Sauce to create a Hottest Dog, but attempting this recipe results in a Mistake. In English localizations, he instead refers to combining his Hot Sauce with "Fat Dogs", an unobtainable item, presumably to avoid hinting at a nonexistent recipe. This change was undone for the remake. The original English localization additionally called the Hottest Dog a "Tongue-Blistering Fat Dog".
